I had a great time at hostel Vila Brasil. The staff were a lot of fun and very helpful. The rooms were clean and comfy. The location was brilliant, close to the beach and some great bars with live music etc. I would recommend staying here and I will definitely be back!

My friend and I needed a place for two extra nights after we decided at the last minute to extend our stay in Ubatuba. We were able to have a private room with its own bathroom at a reasonable price and had a very comfortable stay! We had no problems with cleanliness or safety nor walking around/going out at night from the hostel. The most important thing for us was that it is a safe and welcoming place to stay, and we had a wonderful time meeting the staff who were extremely friendly and accommodating. Live samba music played in the dining/lounge area the first night, and on the second morning we had a nice breakfast of fruit, toast, yogurt and coffee downstairs. The only suggestion I would make is to maybe call ahead of time before arriving, as the very first night we came to look at the hostel it was after hours so we were not able to reserve a room at that time. But there were no issues the next day or for the remainder of our stay. 

Hostel Vila Brasil was a nice, clean hostel for the weekend. The staff were very helpful and I met some great friends there. I would recommend it highly. It had a great location in the center of ubatuba and there were many restaurants, stores and shops around. It also was between many if the great beaches, and therefore most were a quick car ride away.

Great Value For the Price in a Good Location

Fun weekend in Ubatuba

Fun and friendly staff, extremely clean and a great time!

The title tells everything  though .. 

We could not find a hotel all booked and paid for the double room .. 
it was full of mold and so dirty  and stinky that we slept with our outdor clothes .. 
and is correct what Kett Z has also written before me .. was smell and liquid of decades old matzatzes .. 
Believe me you better sleep under a tree on the beach ..

Breakfast was extremely bad as well ..

Can not breath - that`s how stinky and dirty our  55 Euro room was !

Imagine the worst bed bugs you can possibly comprehend.
I never had bed bugs before but I noticed blood spots on the walls by the bed and on my sheets after my first night, I assumed it was just bad mosquitoes. The second night I couldn't stay in my bed/room. It was so bad that I had the throw some of my clothes away. I have backpacked through nearly 50 countries and this is the worst experience I have ever had at a hostel. I apologise, I don't like to write bad reviews (in fact this is my first one) but I would hate for this to happen to someone else.
