Pousada Da Foca

This is the 3rd time I come back to the pousada. Main reason is the beach(perfect for families), the nature around the entire beach and the pousada and the simplicity of everything around Barra do Sahy. Well , this beach is just a couple of hrs from SP, and considering that you will find such a wild and rustic environment is amasing! I have stayed in another pousada but this one in my opinion was the best. The pousada itself is cute! The nature around it in combination with the colors of the pousada give a real cute touch ! The only issue are the Mosquitos that insist but if you are at the bar just ask for the spray because they have it available to the guest. The food: this is top! The menu is not big but everything is really delicious. From the kids food to the adults is perfect. Breakfast was really delicious and with loads of varieties. An improvement point is to put fans around the open areas. We were in a very warm season and sometimes was kind of unbearable to be without AC or a fan. The drinks: hummm the best part of the trip! Yummy caipirinhas and drinks! We even drank a good wine for a reasonable price. The room: big bed, well decorated , effective AC, good shower and big toilet. Room hade net in the balcony and toilet. Our only problem was that even though we used the repellent for the Mosquitos and kept all the time windows closed, the Mosquitos insisted to stay during nighttime. Maybe here is a possible improving point. Cleaning also could be a bit better. The beach is just a 10m walk and the hotel supplies um umbrellas , towels and chairs . In the small city there are some few restaurants options but my favorite is "fundo de quintal ". Already missing Barra do Sahy! We will definitely come back!
