You are not going to find a better value hotel in such an amazing location. Literally 2 minutes from Se Cathedral and within walking distance of all the attractions, bars, shopping and history of downtown Sao Paolo. The rooms are small and pretty basic, but clean, with hot water, tv, and windows that open onto the street. Some have AC, but I paid the for cheapest singe with a fan. Was happy to see I was upgraded to a double bed for free. Some might find the street facing rooms noisy, but I liked the sound of the city, and you can close the shutters and windows if you like. I found the staff friendly and helpful - my bus arrived at 10.30am, and an early check-in was no problem, and they kept my luggage all day on check-out day for 10 reals. ($2.50). I also found the area safe, well-lit, and although there are plenty of homeless people around (as a lot of Sao Paolo), I was not hassled once as a woman alone. Great for a single person too, as I paid just $40 for 2 nights through booking.com I will definitely stay here again!
