We stayed for 2 nights and although we did not speak Portuguese the owner went out of her way to be helpful and give us tips and guidance on the city. Nice location on the river. Definitely opt for the "special apartment" which is MUCH nicer than the other rooms. Eating breakfast and dinner on the terrace with the view over the river to Cachoeira was lovely.
