We had pre-booked a villa in Buzios which turned out to be a little disappointing on arrival so after checking out 5 or 6 other places we moved out of our villa and into the Solar Dos Corais - it was the best quality place we saw and we really enjoyed our time there. The location is ideal for getting into the centre of Buzios, walking it takes only about 5 - 10 minutes. It is also not far to the Ferradura beach, a really great beach at which to spend the day. The garden and pool area in Solar is really well laid out, attractive and stylish. The rooms are well maintained, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is excellent, a wide array of fruit and bread, rolls, cakes, coffee, ham and cheese. The proprietor of the Solar made sure we were happy on a regular basis. While there we had help from Denise, an English speaking marketing professional who was able to provide advice and book us on a tour of nearby Arraial do Cabo - a great day out. I whole-heartedly recommend the Solar. We were a family of 5 and had 2 rooms next to each other which worked out just fine.
