Nobody was there. Any sign where they are you have to look for them according address. Door was locked to the hotel. they didnt speak english neither Portuguese when i called and they told hostel is closed. I paid for nothing. They some weird behavior to the clients. When i wrote them they insulted me.

The Baixo Copa Guest House located in Rio de Janeiro's Copacabana district is a hotel is in a good location. It is just two blocks from the beach and the ocean and the neighborhood has a very vibrant street and night life,
  The amenities are rather spartan here. The room I stayed in had an excellent view of the street outside but the air conditioner wasn't in a very good working order forcing me to keep the window open with the noise of the street outside. There was also a street musician just half a block away and his music which consisted  mostly of Bossa Nova music was very well heard from that short distance. The room also had a laptop computer free for the use of guests that was also not in working order. To access any emails or websites, I visited a nearby internet cafe. The bed was comfortable and I managed to get an adequate amount of sleep even in the humid weather prevalent in this country. 
  There is also a kitchen for the use of the guests with an adequate amount of cutlery and dishes but according to the house rules only breakfast was allowed on the premises. All other meals were to be taken elsewhere. There were also two bathrooms, one for men and the other for women complete with shower, toilet and wash basin. There was also a maid who came in on a daily basis so the guest house was well kept and clean.
  While the guest house had these drawbacks, it was still an enjoyable stay.

do not expect hotel standards for this guest house. in average it is clean, but it is in fact an appartment shared in 3-4 rooms that other people rent. so the cleanliness also depends on other clients, because also the bathrooms (one for male and one for female) are shared. there is no one on site to welcome and give the key, and if you do not notice it on the booking confirmation (ours was made by an agency!), you don't know what to do in front of the main entrance, closed! you need to go at 5 min distance by cabe to reach the reception. Windows in the rooms are not isolated and on a busy road, so you probably won't sleep a lot, also because of moskitos during Rio's winter. which is definitely not an issue, because there are plenty of very nice bars and restaurants in the area, and just 4-500 meters from the Copacabana beach. The room we had was well equipped with clima, fan and big flat-screen TV with cable/satellite.
