This was a lively apartment with perfect sea and mountain views, the owners stayed just next door to our apartment and were very friendly happy to help, provide transport where possible such as to the airport and give advice, I would 100 % recommend arranging airport pick up from the owners, it is a location high up in a favela, it's completely safe and worth the views but is a long trek from where the taxis drop you off at the bottom it's uphill for a good 30 minute trek! You are able to easily get a motorbike taxi up for very cheap. There are a few food places cheap to eat in the favela and lots of bars when wandering up and down.
