Fantastic
69 reviewsI enjoyed my stay at Residence Village. I learned this is a community of 90+ apartments owned by individuals renting them out and managed by different people. My apartment was managed by a man named Ennio and he was very friendly and accommodating, the perfect personality for such a position as he attended to the many questions (perhaps more then most) I had with a smile. This was probably one of the nicest looking apartments with a beautiful view of the ocean, well appointed with comfortable bed, convertible sofa, table and chairs and fully equipped kitchen. Housekeepers were very friendly and cleaned and replaced linen and towels every 4-5 days. My only problem is that because this is a rental community of apartments, families are attracted to it which means many children This comes into play more at the pool which is small enough, even smaller when monopolized with children. I rarely found a moment of peace by the pool. Posted rules by the pool were not always obeyed and nobody around to enforce them. Even a few broken lounge chairs were not repaired or replaced during my stay. These things may be minor to some, especially those who are used to apartment living and it took some adjustment for me as I am more familiar with hotels where these things are attended to promptly. With the very nearby beach and ocean (location is everything), you really had a second pool if the issues mentioned were bothersome enough but lazy days bring a moment where you would rather just relax by the pool. The view was spectacular (opt for an apartment with a view because many do not have one) as was the delightful hammock. Being off-season, the rental price was well below what a hotel would charge and then there you only get a room. Here you get a full apartment. The manager even picked me up at the airport and dropped me off at the end of my stay. I recommend but quite possibly for families only or those who are accepting of a pool frequently busy with the children and the noise and behavior that often accompanied that.
