We spent two nights at the Pousada Jade. The Italian guy is very friendly and makes some great food. The young Brazilian woman that helps run the place (and commands the kitchen for breakfast) is very charismatic and worth the stay just to meet. The rooms are great, the pool isnice, and the view of the ocean a few hundred meters away fantastic. Do not make the mistake we made of dining at the restaurant (named New York something or other) nearby. It is way overpriced. During the day, eat at one of the many beachfront bars and dine in at the hotel for dinner.
