My flight from Sao Paulo to Maceió didn´t land until 2am and I didn´t get to the hotel until 3am and then to sleep around 4am, thus I made it down late for breakfast but the accommodating staff understanding my plight, obliged and served me something to eat. The reception staff continued to be helpful throughout my stay and guided me on how to take the bus from a nearby bus stop to get to where I was destined to reach - lovely, desolate, Ipioca Beach. My room had both a double and a single bed, plus a separate kitchen, bathroom and balcony. Plenty of space for just me plus a lovely view of the ocean from the balcony. The room is very basic though and in need of some remodeling. The small TV was located closer to the ceiling than the floor. Although the room seemed clean, ants continued to be a problem. The breakfast was satisfying and the price was very reasonable especially for such a convenient location. There is also a nice outdoor deck to relax and watch people walk by. Plus there is an outdoor pool on the top floor but I only went up to see it.
