The pool is not big, but the hostel has a few cabins, so I think it's not too crowded. The breakfast is delicious and the service was impeccable! We love the stay and we will definitely return 🥰 Improvement points: service in the pool area (to order snacks, drinks, etc.) and make more promotions, as the price is a little salty, compatible with traditional and larger hostels in the chipotle grove. But the proposal is different, a calmer and more tasty experience!

Cozy, very green landscape

Super well-located, well-groomed and decorated cottage. Delicious breakfast with everything fresh and varied menu. Super attentive team. Good, beautiful bedclothes. Smelly spacious room overlooking green area! At the bottom there is a small waterfall in rainy seasons!

Charm and warmth!

It's a very nice place, clean and with a lovely view, able to take all the stress out of running life. We stay in the sunset chalet & spa, able to provide a unique experience and breathtaking photos! In the background you can hear the sound of the creek that makes evenings with coffee even better. In the bedroom there is a coffee machine with 2 capsules of courtesy, but when we turned it on we had to turn off all the other appliances, like air conditioning for example. Breakfast is simple and with the affection, quality and receptivity of the miner! Always with a creamy fubia cake that makes anyone go out of diet.

Ideal for nature and a beautiful sunset

I was at the inn two weeks ago, it's pretty, butssssss...... I'm going to start talking about the problems that happened. I got to the inn and it was still without power, because there was a problem in the city(which was talked about). The light came back when we entered the room, but we were without internet due to the inn provider. The night we went back to the inn and it was only with a FASE of power working(which we got to know very late)... We were without Hydro, internet (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((

Worst possible care in a complicated situation

I was there for 2 days and nights. I have to say at the beginning that I am frequently in Brasil and also often far away from cities. So I know a lot of pousadas, also simple ones.

The environment at Santa Vila is nice, the chalets have nice interior, bed is good, even a kitchen, a well maintained pool.
Breakfast is good with a nice view.

BUT: It depends where your chalet is. I had the first one close to the street. Street was not a big problem, but 5m away from this chalet there is a henhouse with some cocks/roosters. In the first night, it started at 2:20 AM to crow. From then on, basically no sleep anymore because the windows are no soundproof. Forget it.

I complained in the morning and asked for a change of chalet. This was refused (although I believe it was not fully booked). But the owner promised to talk to the neighbor with the henhouse. If he did, it did not help. The next night the same thing, it started at 01:50 AM. Again no sleep from this moment on even with earplugs.

I cannot imagine that other guest who stayed in this chalet, did not complain. I may be sensitive on sound, but even in Brasilian terms this was too noisy. It was really painful to stay there in the night.

Besides, there are construction works very close, but this starts at 07:00 am which is not the big problem.

In the morning I wanted a refund of one night which was refused by the owners.

I then complained at booking.com but they also got a negative reply.

300€ for 2 nights with almost no sleep is simply too much! In the end, it was not worth the money!

Stay away if you only get the first chalet. Now I know why they have the advance pay policy with no cancellation

Nice bungalows, but can´t stand the noise in the night

Accommodation with different types of accommodation: chalet with kitchen, chalet Pôr do Sol with views over mountains (recommended) and other suites. Medium prices high, but worth every penny. Internal self-parking. Great cleanliness, comfortable beds, amenities. Quiet and perfect to rest and unwind from the hustle. Pool to enjoy and relax with bar service. The sauna was closed because of the pandemic. Breakfast served well and with many options of fruits, salads, cakes, breads, cheese bread, juices and hot drinks. All served by the staff. Reception friendly, especially Marcelo who was very hospitable and gave us many courtesy tips.

Perfect rest

Small, cozy, comfortable, in harmony with nature. Delicious breakfast, with variety and satiety. Differentiated swimming pool and sauna, with a beautiful view of the surroundings. Ideal for a nice rest.

Comfort in the Midst of Nature

The Pousada is beautiful, the integration with nature is perfect! The chalet is well decorated. The team is efficient and friendly! The Jussara owner is an admirable person who does everything to preserve the nature of the wonderful place!

Fitted

Very nice host, breakfast is great and there is a very nice pool with fantastic views. Pedrao Falls can also be reached on foot, where you can swim and stay very nicely.

Relaxation, tranquility and plenty of nature

We've been two amazing days in a chalet at Santa Vila. It's a simple but a nice place, where we can forget about noise and agitation of the great cities. Outside the chalet there's a wood terrace with deck chairs, and we can see several kinds of birds... toucans, woodpeckers, doves and many others that I just don't know the name. We stayed among the trees feeding the little monkeys, and hearing  the sound of the cicadas. At night we stayed looking to the sky searching for the most shiny star and feeling the breath of fresh air.
Serra do Cipo is not a place to have luxury accommodations. It´s like a sanctuary of native forest with amazing waterfalls, so, rustic inns perfectly match the proposed preservation of the site.
There's a TV inside the bedroom, but we had no interest in turn it on. I recommend it for couples who want to live moments of peace alone.
The breakfast was very good, with freshly made goodies. And the owner, Jussara, is a very friendly person.
