Hostel Hope

Amazing and family-run place with clean and large kitchen, washing machine and large private showers.  Beyond a place that was amazing there is another thing to note and it is the hostel owner, the lovely Tariki helped us with every question and interest I needed help with and even stayed with us for hours in the hospital when one of us did not feel well.  Highly recommend to every bystander to stay in this amazing place!

When we arrived at our hostel in foz de iguacu, we got to find a closed one. Fortunately in the very same road was a second hostel, whose name fitted perfectly into our situation: hostel hope. We took a look at the house and decided to stay in the couple room without toilet. Every morning, we had a great breakfast prepared by the friendly sister of the hostel owner. Actually everyone was friendly. They helped us planning the days activities, showed us how to cook a good feijoada and once even brought us to a place by car 'because it was on their way anyway'. The cost for two persons including all the services (even washing machine and breakfast) was 70 reais. At the end we were happy that our actual hostel had closed.

We got lost on the streets of Foz do Iguacu when we bumped into this place.  Unbelieveble that it is not recommended in any guide yet, cause they deserve it!! We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The family is extremely friendly and helpfull. The breakfast is delicious and any question about tours, buses or further travel plans will be answered here to the max! It truly felt like home in Brazil :-).

Upon arriving at the hostel we received a warm welcome, lots of information about the area and help reserving our taxi for the next morning. There is a bus stop for the bus to the falls right around the corner. The hostel was basic but cute and very clean. The free internet was fast and the wifi signal was strong in our room. We stayed here for only one night and unfortunately had to leave for an early flight so we missed the included breakfast.

The couple who run hostel hope make you feel right at home - they are so lovely! The breakfast is AMAZING and the hostel is extremely clean, spacious and has a rooftop with great views of foz de iguazu. There is wifi, a kitchen and a washing machine to use. Good location for visiting all the sites. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in foz!
