We spent 9 days in this pousada, trying to contain the costs (high!!) of the island. The room was really furnished with little, very basic, like the bathroom. In return it is quite central, 10 minutes' walk from the Flamboyant Square, it is in front of the supermarket and the bus stop. The breakfast is simple but complete: fruit, sweet and salty. High point the very kind and really available owners. If you are not looking for luxury but simplicity without spending a fortune, I recommend it!

Simple accommodation but owned by hospitals

The rooms are really simple, but clean. The staff doesn't speak a word of English, but they are friendly and do their best. The breakfast is excellent and is served at a large table with the other pensioners. WiFi is free, but it didn't work once during our five-day stay. Right across the street there are two supermarkets and the island bus is also on the other side of the street. Unfortunately, we booked through a hotel portal, as the price was 25 percent above the price that would be due in the pension.

Simple Pousada with a good breakfast

I was very happy when I discovered that the pousada was owned by a Baptist pastor. I could also attend the meetings of the local Bible-based Baptist church. The staff is friendly and really helped me a lot. The breakfast is plentiful. The supermarket, a budget restaurant a bar and the bus stop are in front of the pousada.
About 7 minutes walk you can go to good restaurants (Rock Oceanico the best for me), to the kiosk selling the beach permit or to the boat trip agencies (in the so called Bosque Flamboyant).
The nearest beach is Praia do Cachorro where you can walk to. The only substing portuguese fort (Forte do Remedios) is withing walking distance. Wi-fi was free but could only be used to sent messages through Whatsapp and to surf the Internet because of the distance from the continent.
The power sockets are 220 Volts and are compatible with European plugs (except UK). The room was spacious and very clean.

One of the best place on earth

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Everything is very simple but Works according to the expectations.
Mrs. Laudicéia and Ricardo are the owners and as it is a guest house the place is very nicely well taken care of by them. Breakfast is good and often has traditional food on it.
There is a supermarket very close by as well as a couple of very nice and cheap restaurants in case you are on a budget. Is you want to spend a bit more VARANDAS restaurant is a walking distance and Restaurante Do Ze Maria is just 15 Reais by taxi.
Pleasant guest house. Recommend!!!!
