Pousada Serrana

If you are visiting Diamantina keep in mind that, this historical Brazilian city under the UNESCO World Heritage since 1999, is all uphill & downhill. And this is not different with this Pousada: at the street level you enter the lobby & few bedrooms, then you go down one level where are more rooms & the breakfast room. The rooms are vey simple: they have the basics. A bed (3/4 per room), a side table, a table, a TV set on the wall, a small frige & a ceiling fan. The bathrooms are OK. All very simple but very clean. Breakfast also is good: with a few local specialities, but no eggs. But the best asset of this pousada are the owners & all the staff: all very helpful and kind! Before we arrived there, through their indication, we were able to get a cab to go to Belo Horizonte's airport to pick up the four of us . While there, they gave plenty of hints of good places to eat & to visit. And when one of the party got sick, they were tireless calling pharmacy, cab when needed & giving indications of food deliveries. Absolutely delightful!!
