the facade is just the entry "porch", but inside it is quite cosy. depending on how busy it is you can get a very nice room, big enough to feel comfortable!!! The breakfast is not brazilian style buffet, but a bun, some jam, cheese/ham and coffee, indeed a bit meagre for brazil. However I felt the hotel is nice enough to stay there,it is central and rather cheap (75 Rs, in brasil this is not expensive!! go to Rio Branco you pay at least double) in my experience there are few places that match this quality-price in Brazil. Indeed the staff speaks little else than portuguese but they are nice enough for sure! There are plenty of restaurants around the hotel,so you will not stay hungry (sunday and monday evening however much more limited choices!!)
