Mickey's Guest House

Mickey's a cheerful, helpful, warm-hearted, fantastic man and we were so lucky to stay at his house! :) He'll tell you many interesting stories about Sarajevo over a cup of coffee. Moreover the location's great - right in the center, price and conditions are really good too. We'll totally miss the time spent with him and when we come back to this amazing city, we'll obviously stay at his place again.

Mickey is an amazing host and clearly enjoys the role.
He is very knowledgeable on Sarajevo' sights, culture and history and takes pleasure in catering to his guests every needs. 
Situated near the old town, it is an ideal base for exploring Sarajevo. 
Very reasonably priced, especially considering its location!
On arrival (even if unannounced) it will be 5 minutes at most before you are sitting having coffee with the charming host, I recommend it very much!

Amazing host, amazing man!!!

an excellent little Guest House with a great host in Sarajevo

I stayed at mickeys guesthous september 2014. I agreed before my trip that Guesthouse would pick me up at the airport. Unfortunately, there was no one to pick me up. When I called the guesthouse, I was told I should arrange transfer by taxi, as Mickey was not available to do the transfer.

I was welcomed with Bosnian coffee and cake at the patio, which was really nice. My room was very basic and the bed, which was a sofabed, not comfortable but okay for a few nights. The shared bathroom is a bit messy with all the stuff standing around, but the shower works very well, which is most important. The Guesthouse is just a short walk, 5 minutes or so, away from the bazaar and therefore quite central. Mickey, the owner, is very sympathic who really appreciates all his foreign guests. He loves talking to his guests on Sarajevo, Bosnia or any other topic. he cookes a nice breakfast. He also takes guests to the local market, if you are interested. 

All in all it was a nice stay, especially because of mickey's personal attention.

Very sympathic owner, accomodation very basic

i read reviews on this place before i booked! dont know how people rated this place!!! it was a joke!! no way have booking .com checked out this place!!  the floors in my room were on a slant so was the wardrobe/dressing table, could not unpack as the owners clothes were in the latter! they were drying clothes in my room! Bathroom was shared with the owners family.The bed was like sleeping on concrete! The owners family were very noisy also they smoked! I dont do 4/5 star if thats what you think and travel a lot! i checked out after one night.Would not of stayed there for free.All you people who rated this place must live in very bad conditions.Enough said

Unfortunately, Micky was too kind, it was intrusive for me. In addition, the bathroom was not clean. The dirty water from the washing machine drained to the bathtub while I was taking a shower! Terrible...
Wi-Fi connection was so poor that I couldn't use it in my room.
