If you choose to stay here, know this is a very no-frills place. This means unreliable WiFi (during our stay, if would only work when standing outside) and a toiler/shower combination that will guarantee wet feet & a wet toilet seat. Bring flipflops. On the upside, we didn't notice any bugs and found the place to be sufficiently clean. We were initially offered the room on the front side, but if it's possible, ask for the other one as it's much quieter and a little more comfortable. The five-bed room we ended up staying in has single beds (unlike the other room, which has two doubles), and comes with a simple kitchen and a patio. Our host indeed was a delightful guy, who shared homemade honey raki with us and overall came across as very friendly. The city center is a 10-minute walk away.

Balkan hospitality

Great stay in an unexpected gem of a town. The owner was extremely kind and welcoming despite us turning up unannounced late in the evening twice. His warmth and kindness despite not speaking any English made our stay. Simple but functional, beds were comfy and rooms clean. The back room especially, was quiet and made for an unbelievably good nights sleep. 

Made by the owner 

Not really a hotel or even a hostel. It was more a b&b without the breakfast. Room was below the house where the owner lived. It's located near a main road of the city hence easily reachable.
The place itself was very basic, just sufficient I would say. Heating working well (especially important in the winter). Furthermore, the owner is a kind man who gave us a bottle of home made hard liquor. We needed it during the winter time to stay warm outside ;)

Very decent place to stay with a great host

The only nice thing was the owner, who was very nice and kind to us. Even let us stay longer for half a day.

But there are a lot of disadvantages, like a lot of bugs on the floor. Also rooms are cold – no heating system available for guests.

The washbasin is small and with washing your face you wash your whole body.

The room is very loud because you hear everything that is going on outside and every car that passes on the street.

No access to kitchen - and I wanted to have some "home made" coffee. Well, obviously I was asking for too much.
