Ok, Bas was a cool guy, they offer some good diving but we did not go through them, we just stayed there and had to ask for clean towels, bathroom tissue, etc. this is a place I would go again only because it is so close to everything and tucked away around the corner meaning it is quiet. In the two week stay, the name changed twice, first to Buddy Up and then to Stay and Dive, new owners too. Bas is there still and very nice. It has a kitchenette which was nice because most meals in the evening are around $30. Then add your drinks. At the corner about 200 yards away is a nice grocery store, the big store is about 1/2 mile away and they have everything! Had a rental so I went there besides, I needed that for the incredible shore diving!

A no frills, low cost room

We had a very pleasant stay at the Blue Divers in Kralendijk, Bonaire. The rooms are spacious, ample closet space and small kitchens. In the patio there is room to sit, and a small refreshing pool. A bar is sometimes open at night. There are some very good reasons to stay here:
- Location: quiet neighbourhood (no dogs barking when we were there), at walking distance from the city center (although we mostly took the car anyway), and very close to the road to the south (diving) and Lac Bay (windsurfing)
- Freedom: you get a key, you get a locker, weights, and you can take tanks whenever you want, go diving whenever you want, and rinse your gear whenever you want
- Value: in comparison with other places on Bonaire (which is not cheap), you get good lodgings. Unlimited diving packages are (among) the cheapest on the island
- Friendliness of the keeper, who is very willing to help out, to provide information, help, etc. Very relaxed
There are also some reasons it is not a five star place: some rooms do not have hot water, SO CHECK YOU GET A ROOM WITH HOT SHOWERS UPFRONT (this I find really lacking in a place like this, and I wasn't aware of when booking), garbage (in the room) wasn't collected until asked, it was not made clear when reception was open/closed (we had to sleep in our friends room one night as we left the key at the reception and returned around 11:30pm), the rooms were not clean under the beds.

My conclusion: recommended if you need a pleasant good value-for-money lodgings, don't mind some minor nuisances and enjoy a laid-back atmosphere, and ask for a room with hot water up-front

Good place to stay, good value for money

The holiday in Bonaire is just finished and we already miss it! We had great time there and we had a wonderful stay at Blue Divers. Nicolette, her husband and the whole Team are all extremely kind, helpful and relaxed, making the stay fully enjoyable. The rooms are large and comfortable, and we enjoyed many aperitifs at the bar by the pool (also a great lasagna Nicolette offered us!). The location is just perfect: very quiet, but at walking distance to the center, where all nice restaurants are. By scooter or by car you can really explore all the island from there. We went by bike every day to Lac Bay for windsurfing (amazing place!) and it was tough (as Nicolette had warned us!!) because most of the time you bike upwind, but we wanted an active vacation and we definitely got it! Nicolette helped us in a lot if ways, with useful indications on restaurants, logistics, early trip for snorkeling in Klein Bonaire (beatiful beach and amazing snorkeling) to enjoy even the last couple of hours we had on the last day. Overall I fully recommend Blue Divers. Did not try the diving, just because we were fully into windsurfing this time, but will definitely try next time we will be there!

Great stay at Blue Divers in beautiful Bonaire

Needed a cheaper place with studio style accommodations for month stay in Bonaire for my IDC course. Nicolette was at my arrival was pleasant and welcomed me. There is a small bar which is opened in the evening for beers, and stories about the daily dives that took place. It is mostly Dutch visiting but they welcomed me in their conversations. I would recommend Blue Divers for anyone looking for a great bargain, close to town (walking) Thank you guys for a good time. Alex  stayed 22/Nov - 13Dec

Nice, friendly ,quite, relaxing small hotel.

Nice and cozy, thanks to Nicolette to take care of this place. Room is basic, but everything is working, safe is working, and you get fresh towels every other day, so it was a nice touch. It is close to town, within November just 5 steps away from diving with VIP diving, so it was a perfect combination. What I thought is funny was the water in shower, something in between cold and hot, surely wakes you up! What I have heard regular thing in Bonaire, so do not be surprised. The only bad thing were the mosquitoes trying to eat me alive, so make sure you use a repelent, as when it's raining, they are everywhere.
