Hostal Cruz Del Sur

I stayed here for a night in Nov. 2015. I booked a room with a single bed, but was given a room with 2 queen beds. The room was spacious and clean. I liked that it had a desk for me to get some work done and lots of shelving for storage. The wi-fi was good (by Bolivian standards). The shower didn't take long to heat up and the water pressure was good. Breakfast was good. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I wasn't sure where to get a taxi to the bus station, but the staff helped me flag down two taxis in front of the hostel (the 1st taxi wasn't interested in going to the bus station for some reason). I stored my luggage in a back office while I took a walk in the morning. Great location a block from the main square and many of the popular attractions and restaurants. I had a room facing the street. There was some street noise during the day, but it was quiet at night. It is more like a hotel than a hostel, so if you're backpacking and looking to meet people there may be better options. For me, it was a nice break from staying in dorm-style hostels.
