Bella Vista El Tronco

A 10 minute uphill walk from the main square, this clean and bright house built around a sunny courtyard is great value for money. It has a good basis kitchen and shared balcony with a lovely view of the city and hills. The manager was attentive and very helpful. 

We stayed here for a few nights in July 2017. This guest house is situated in the old town in Sucre, approximately 10 to 15 mins walk from the main square. The whole house is immaculately clean, the twin room we had was spacious and the shower had really hot water. 
Breakfast was superb....a plentiful feed. The wifi was good, which was useful for us in planning the next stage of our trip and for uploading photos to a cloud. 
There is a resident pet dog and cat....which was absolutely fine for us, but may not be everyone's cup of tea!!
Definitely a safe option for a place to stay in Sucre.

We stayed he for two nights in May. Although we wish we could have stayed longer. 

Casa Al Tronco is located in a nice area of Sucre, in the historic centre, approx 10 minute walk to the main square. We had an amazing double room with beautiful view of the city. Place was spotlessly clean, hot water, laundry service, a fully equipped kitchen with a balcony, again with lovely views. 

Tania, the lady who runs the place is very friendly and informative, providing a local map with recommendations etc. Also sited our luggage and allowed us to use common areas while waiting for night bus. 

Perfect place to stay in Sucre. Book ahead as only 3 rooms! 

Tania is amazingly sweet. The view from the place on all of Sucre is also incredible.  Kitchen is super well equipped and clean (super clean), bathroom and rooms , everything is spotless. You feel like in a real home having breakfast in the living room. Fresh fruit is served. Bread could be better.

Tania let me in at 6 am, arriving from a long bus ride from Uyuni.

Perfect place. Don't feel discouraged about the comments saying it is located at the top of a big hill... it is located in one of the most historic quarters of Sucre and really only a few blocks away from the bustle of Sucre.

We had high expectations when arriving after reading all the positive reviews. The location and hotel itself are very nice but the owner makes you feel you are intruding in her home. Every time she sees you arriving she flees in her personal space to avoid talking to you. The price of breakfast was ridiculously high for Bolivian standards. Also there is no heating. She would not let us shower on the day we left before taking the night bus. I did not feel comfortable there and would describe this more like a hotel than a bed and breakfast.
