I don't understand what all the bad reviews are talking about. This may not be the cleanest place but if you want perfect, you shouldn't go to one of the cheapest places in Sucre! The breakfast is great, it's the most diverse breakfast I've had in Bolivia, with eggs, bread, cereal, juice, coffe/tea. There is no toilet paper here but I've yet to find a hostel in Bolivia that does have that, so make sure you have your own. The beds were very comfy. For my non-picky, backpacker standards: I thought it was a great hostel.

So, the hostel is situated right in the center of Sucre -easily the prettiest city in Bolivia. People are nice and outgoing, so parties and drinking games can appear out of nowhere (there's a notice curfew though). Even though this creates a grey ambience for cracking the ice and meeting fellow travelers it an be uncomfortable for less active people. 
A great plus the hostel has is that you can go almost anywhere walking, it is right beside the best spots in Sucre; Casa de la Libertad is 10 minutes away (walking), the same applies to the Mercado Central.
Without a doubt you'll have fun, but, if you're not too picket

Underrated 

Nice place to meet people, not for resting

I had an impression this hostel is just average. Has nothing that would tell it apart and one needs more on Sucre's competitive backpackers scene. 
The lady at the recepton was nice but for the guy work seemed a punishment.
There's an ok kitchen, wifi's not so slow (as for Bolivia), beds comfy enough, prices quite low... Still, I'd much rather stay in Siete Patas...

Average...

I stayed there for 2 nights, it was a bad experience, the toilet were not clean and never there's toilet paper, the wifi function only at the reception and it closes quite early. On the secund night there was a huge group of drunk locals that made noise until 4:30 and no one could sleep..And there is no atmosphere at all, it was only me and a group of 20 locals, when I read the reviews I can understand why

I woudl rate this hostel at least average if not the event I am going to write about first

I would like to warn about the most scary and worrying situation I ( and many other guests) have experienced in any hostel in over 50 countries.

''On the second day of our stay, at 5 am I was woken up but sudden and aggressive knocking to my room door. The voice introduced itself as immigration police. I was reluctant to open the door, but since it was inside the hostel, I have open it finally. 
There were 3 big men ( and 2 more downstairs) with guns, without uniform ( one with t- shirt written Police and baseball hat ) stayting they are Police and demanding that I would give them my passport now. I was still asleep but rejected this demand and close the door on them. 
They ve got more aggressive and tried to get into the room, but as there were more guest invigilated, they have left and didn't return to me. ( Other tourists obliged and they have all their data from passport written down and room searched without any reason given). 
We later went to Police trying to figure out if that was genuine Police or scam, but neither tourist nor ordinary policy were able to confirm that any such patrol was in place. 

SO we were left without the answer: 
who were those people,  
what they wanted exactly 
and why somebody at reception at 5 am just gave them all our personal information. 
To make matter worse ( the lady at reception that came at 8 am was completely unaware of the situation and she didn't know why the original guest list is missing - apparently the person in the reception at 5 am was not a hostel employee!!! So who was at person at reception at nigh?

Following this bizare event most of guest left ''Amigo's'' and moved to other hostel the same morning.

Cons
- based on this situation my biggest issue with this hostel is safety ( mainly after incident described above) personal and data safety + no locker inside rooms + small locker in reception where anybody can access
- no common room - just lobby  combined with small tv area and two 2 sofas 
- bathroom without the proper lock and shade door (i could actually see the girl taking shower
- our room was recently repainted an plastered, but big whole in the ceiling allowed all the insects to get in
- staff in general friendly but not interested in giving any sort of advice or information
- no any sort of amenities/ activities or reasonable information

pros
- the cheapest double room we found in central Sucre ( 80B) 
- breakfast included but rather basic
- close to central Plaza de Armas
-  nice inner courtyard that gave airy breeze and bbq area (although a bit run down)
