The way we were treated on check out left a bad taste in the mouth. We were checked in by a young child on the desk to add more difficulty to the language barrier. After struggling to find our booking the child offered an upgrade from a twin room to a twin room with private bathroom at no extra charge which seemed very kind. The room itself was ok, it was basic but fairly clean, beds were quite hard but enough blankets to keep warm, and the shower was warm which was great. The room has a window onto the corridor which is a bit weird, there’s a broken window in the bathroom and the bathroom floor wasn’t clean. They include a bit of egg in the breakfast which exceeded expectations. The WiFi is not good. We use WiFi to found our way around and to transfer money to our travel cards - so it was annoying when the WiFi didn’t work for an entire day as the owner had a big party in the area where the router is and closed it off to clients. It was on and off outside of the party. Once we did get online the location is so so. It’s at the top of a hill 15 minutes walk from the centre. On check out they wanted to charge us for the room upgrade, we said no as we had double checked this was at no extra cost so they locked us in. They then tried to charge double the price for the double room we had booked because there were two of us not one (we booked for two and it was a private room not paid by the bed anyway). After arguing for close to half an hour they eventually gave up and unlocked the door releasing us. The whole ordeal was very stressful and unnecessary. It’s a good job we had our booking confirmation to hand because they didn’t even accept that until right at the end - instead referring to some hand written prices. Go somewhere else it’s not worth it. 


Locked in and told to pay double

No recommendation!! We booked a private room for 2. The room only had windows to the corridor, the one in the bathroom was burst. The worst thing was: The was URINE all over the bathroom, it looked and smelled gross. The women at the reception first didnt want to do anything about it. 
Really, its been the worst hostel of our trip. Better look for a different place
