Hotel Santa Teresa

We had a lovely 2 night stay at Santa Teresa. Beds and super comfortable and the hotel is very clean throughout. After 5 months travelling South America we opted for a bit of luxury and we were very satisfied. Gabby on reception was particularly helpful and friendly. The older lady on reception with glasses... not so much. Thanks for having us :) 

Great place to stay as everything is close by but the hotel itself is a little out of the way meaning very quiet. Very good wifi, ample breakfast buffet in a large restaurant with few guests. Staff was very accommodating

A bit expensive, but worth it with the great hospitality. The owners were present in the office and restaurant (which has great Bolivian and International food), and they and the staff were extremely attentive to all our needs. My one issue was the see-through curtains in the windows in the rooms. Other than that, great experience.

Great Hosts in a nice location

Close by and out of the way

Good location, close to Plaza 10 de Noviembre, which is the center of town. Close to St Teresa Convent and Mint, both are very interesting to visit. Staff helpful and pleasant, but with limited English. Breakfast was okay, could have used more fresh and ripe fruit. 

Lobby and walls needed painting and there was some minor water damage. Rooms are fairly small and bath had old fixtures. Small TV had CNN English sometimes, other times it had no English channels.

This was my fourth or fifth time staying here as the rooms can be quite OK and warm. Arrived at reception and the girl quoted me 340 Bolivianos which I found to be quite a jump from the time before. The girl was really unfriendly. Decided to go check out another place and then decided to return and just take the room. When I arrived about twenty minutes later, another receptionist was at the desk. She remembered me and I her, and quoted me 310 Bolivianos. She also gave me an excellent room at the back facing Cerro Rico and the cathedral could also be seen from the room. Breakfast was the usual disappointment with only stale bread and lukewarm tea/coffee. NO juice, cold cuts and only scraps of cheese. A poor excuse for cereals was presented. Table where I sat hadn’t been cleaned or brushed off. Servers in restaurant don’t even crack a smile or say good morning. I’ve stayed here because of location and good hot water and heating. Rooms are definitely quiet.

Disappointing reception staff

I told the managers I had already paid.  They refused to even listen and some only Spanish. None if my credit cards worked as I turned to give whatever they wanted so I could catch my bus. I had to jog to the western union, pay the high commission, pay well over the total I was even first word by hotels. Com and give it all in cash then wander through the city to get to the bus as there no taxis.Traveled there junta this time, so far and it was one of the two most frustrating she worst experiences with accommodations throughout m

Terrible experience and I paid for it.  Literally.

Hassles checking in as booking not found using Wotif (Expedia). Very stressful with long interrogation. Shower was terrible with only a trickle of warm water each shower. The room had a great view and the heating in the room was excellent. Breakfasts were average.

This hotel is not a business hotel but at the level of a backpacker hostel. 

My room had two beds, both beds had holes in the sheets. The whole place is old and worn out. 

Breakfast has a limited section with poor coffee. 

The staff is friendly, I give them that. 

But I would value this place maximum qt usd 25-30 a night and not the usd 80 I paid.
