We arrived late and the lady that manages the place was kind to wait for us and showed us the room, which was simple but good enough and clean.  We had to leave very early so we asked to had breakfast ready and it was done nicely.  Hot water was good and location excellent for La Paz.  Also very helpful in arranging for taxis to the airport.  Overall good experience.

Centrally located, quite place and good hot shower

It is in a great part of town. Safe, clean, and surprisingly quiet. It is also inexpensive compared to surrounding options. The caretaker is very nice and personable too. I have no problem returning for another stay if I'm alone. It was very convenient. 

That being said, overall it's not a very nice place. It felt 'tired' to me. Just a bit run down. Breakfast was nothing to write home about, but at least it was an option. Bottom line, if I'm traveling solo, I'll go back, but if my family is traveling with me we will be looking for someplace nicer.

Traveling solo . . . a no brainer. Family trip . . . not so much.

We needed to extend our stay in La Paz for one night and ended up staying here, because the b&b we had stayed during the previous nights was fully booked. The location is excellent and our room was silent even if we this guesthouse has a very central location close to busy streets.
However I wasn´t impressed at all. The house itself is beautiful, but rooms are not well mainteined. Our bathroom had an ugly old carpet floor and lighting looked like directly from the horror movie. I´m glad we stayed only for one night in an emergency situation. 
Believe me, with hte same price you can get something a lot (!!!) better in the same neighbourhood, such as the place where we stayed during our first 3 nights in La Paz.

Avoid!

This was a very weird experience.
My husband was in contact with the owner in advance to check that she had seen the extra bed request. She replied to say all was ready and that they were waiting for us.
When we arrived she showed us a room with two single beds and said "you are too big for this room."
She showed us to a very rough and ready downstairs where we then had two rooms. It was freezing. There were heaters that weren't that effective. There were lights with wires hanging out. We werent imptressed. The owner acted as if we were puting her to immense trouble and she seemed to think we should be very grateful for being given our cold dungeon rooms. She kept asking for payment up front. We then discovered that none of the windows were locked. They were all able to open and some couldn't be locked. We already knew that the premises were unattended at night and had seen that local buildings were locked up like Fort Knox with many behind electric fences. This made us feel very uncomfortable. 
Breakfast was also weird, with a couple of bread rolls, cold coffee, over ripe fruit and lightly burned egg with ham served with a dramatic flourish as though it was some incredible delicacy.
We were leaving early on the last day and breakfast left was soft white bread and jam. 


Cold, damp and scary

We were supposed to have a room with a private bathroom.
When we arrived, we discovered that we had to share a bathroom with others!!
Apart from that, the place is a bit run down and the amenities were of a very low standard.
We only stayed long enough to find alternative accommodation... less than an hour and the other accommodation was fantastic!
