It’s peaceful. You will sleep great. The food is great. As you would expect it to be in Cochabamba, the food capital of Bolivia. The owners are adorable. Super clean. We had a great time. It’s a little far from town, so you need a car. Highly recommended.

Best food in Bolivia! This is such a magical and special place. Owners Bastian (German) and Carolina (Bolivian) have poured their hearts and souls into this stunning boutique hotel. Instant hot water, floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Cochabamba valley and surrounding mountains offer stunning views and refreshing breezes everywhere you turn. You're greeted with a custom organic cocktail and the German-Bolivia chef creates mouthwatering dishes that are both flavorful and pieces of artwork in their own right! They were so nice and accommodating for our two children, cooking spaghetti. The organic breakfast is spectacular- home baked chocolate croissants, multi-grain rolls, butter shaped like hearts, Belgian-style waffles, fresh local fruit, cheeses, and hot organic coffee along with espresso and cappuccino on demand- you'd think you're in Provence or Napa. Well marked hiking trails surround the hotel, I went for a great morning run through forests and wild flowers- our family hiked to the nearby river.  Bastian runs Landmark Travel and arranged our guide and transportation while in Cochabamba. He also brought a professional photographer to take family photos and can organize massage, horseback riding and a host of other activities. We loved their Finnish Sauna. Every room has a balcony to savor the views, drink coffee (or Bolivian wine, German beer etc.) and read. The Berg Hotel architecture blends Incan-style stone foundations with a German mountain-lodge style roof and terraces. Skylights abound, especially in the bathrooms, which feel like luxury spas. Very friendly and attentive service- all the staff are well paid, well trained local people and it feels like a family atmosphere. We wish we could've stayed longer!

The rooms are expansive and nicely furnished, the food was delicious and copious.  The service was friendly yet never intrusive.  This is a real weekend retreat!  The sauna is rejuvenating, and the firepit is inspirational.  The trails lead up and down through the Parque National Tunari, with great views and uncrowded spaces.

A wonderful place surrounded by trees, with impressive views of the valley, lots of hiking trails, great food, very friendly and helpful staff and a really cozy ambience (with a fire place!). And the sauna was just great!!

We just spend a wonderful weekend in Berhotel Carolina near Cochabamba. 
It’s a hidden gem far awary from the dayly stess deeply sourrounded by beautiful landscape.
We spend the day hiking on the tracks around the hotel and enjoyed the personal athmosphere and delicious food and lovely hosts.
They have great packages and it's not very crowded at the moment … highly recommended.

The team at Berghotel Carolina is hospitable and warm and goes out of its way to  make sure your stay is unique. The room is cozy and very clean with your own terrace. They organize all kinds of adventurous excursions in the beautiful green surroundings. The food is amazing and the atmosphere contributes to a real homy feeling.
Yes, it's far from the city but it's the perfect getaway for a quiet and peaceful stay.

The experience everyone who comes to Cochabamba wishes they had.  Elegance in a sylvan wilderness with courteous service.  We had a great time as a family and the meals were excellent. A small library collection of German and English books was also available for a perfect, relaxed weekend. Minimalist rooms with a beautiful view that was clean and equipped with comfortable radiator heating.  The shower was modern with plenty of warm water but the best part for us was the available sauna (for a small fee) that we took for an afternoon.  We also took a walk around one of the hiking trails that circle the hotel which gave us some good views of Cochabamba from a far.

It’s a beautiful place the food and the view of the city of Cochabamba it’s amazing and the owner a great person definitely i will be back in the future. 
Besides the room very clean in every detail and if you want to walk by the mountain o see the river it’s close a good walk and connect whit nature it’s a good choice. 

Hotel rooms are excellent. Big. Prepared with love and pation. Lot of little details makes it quiet comfortable. Perfect dining room with open fire and a reading corner makes it like staying at home. Perfect view above Cochabamba. Nice Terrace. Good food. Sauna available. Nice host. Good service. 

Access to nature.

staying with friends and kids in 4 bed room, astonishing view, quite, excellent service and in the middle of the nature. ideal for a combination of relaxing and trekking. Sauna is perfect after a day of walk and the terrace invites to join together.

Unforgettable Boutique Experience - Best Food in Bolivia

Fantastic and relaxing but luxurious lodge on the slopes of Mr. Tunari

Berghotel Caroina was a lovely escape from the urban jungle - an ideal place to relax with your partner or family! Carolina and Bastian were welcoming and attentive and you can tell they've put thought and care into the construction and curation of the hotel, whose decor details exude rustic luxury. We most enjoyed taking walks amidst the beautiful mountain landscapes. We would have liked the sauna to have been included in a weekend package, and we did find the water to be extremely over-priced. Gluten/lactose-free options in meals could also be considered. Overall though, I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone's who's looking to retreat in nature.
