Was a family stay in december and quite a silent and calm place. Nice paddy fields surrounding the area, even though its a bit far from the paro town.
The hotels rooms are clean and spacious, the staff is very courtious and friendly, the food was prepared in consulation and was provided a out of home like preperation.

stay for 4 nights

Our room was, clean comfortable and everything worked . The food was a little bland but well cooked. The hotel is in an attractive garden. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our only criticism is that the corridors in the building that we were in were tiled without and any wall hangings to dampen any noise so that when some guests decide to talk in the corridor it sounded very loud, the management might want to do something about this.

Pleasant hotel

It was our last stop in Bhutan before leaving the country and the day before the much anticipated climate the Tigers Nest. We stayed for two nights, all our hotels were arranged by our tour company. The word Resort is a bit of a misnomer, it was no more than a 3 star hotel. The rooms were large, but very oddly placed furniture, we couldn't open a closet because a bed was placed in front of it. The floors were very creaky, we could hear people coming and going. The bathroom floors were extremely slippery, had to be careful getting in and out. We were in the main part of the hotel and did not have one of the cottages, which might have been better. We had to ask for toilet paper and water which they forgot to put in the rooms. The staff was kind, but again we had to ask for everything, service was poor.  We had breakfast and dinner included, but after the first night asked our guide to find a restaurant in town, Food awful!! It was close to the downtown area, but not really within walking distance. Would have loved a more comfortable hotel for our last nights and especially after climbing the Tigers nest, just a nice bar to sit with fellow travellers and smile and talk about the trek and what a beautiful country Bhutan is!! This hotel was just not up to par!
Sad place to end a lovely trip.

Not the best of Bhutan in Paro

This certainly is not a resort, actually it feels a bit like we are back in China with its horrible rooms. We have very creaky pine floors, every step makes a noise, nowhere to sit other than on the hard single beds. It is actually cold tonight so we have the heater on not that I think they are working as I have climbed into bed to keep warm. Very slow Wifi, the bathroom is just adequate, we are not looking forward to dinner. We did read some reviews before we arrived so we knew what to expect but boy when as a tourist to Bhutan you have to pay $US250pp per day you expect much better than this. We are here for 2 nights only thank goodness.

The food in the resturant was dreadful and the staff well they are a bit rude.  Our guide and driver are excellent so they helped us with some queries about the so called Resort.

Not a Resort

Me and my husband stayed here for 3 nights. Staff very friendly and cooperative. Rooms comfortable and cottages look nice from outside. Wish they had a balcony and /or an arrangement for sitting outside and taking in the amazing view outside. 
Food was good and tasty, mainly Indian cuisine. They even complied to our request of room service and sent in all the items on buffet to our room. 
Good stay over all.

Good, not amazing

This resort is in a lovely location; view on onto some rice paddies, chilies drying on the roofs of the houses. The rooms themselves are less than average. I was not impressed. Everything looked fine at first glance but wasn't quite up to par. The same goes for the dining room. Very impersonal and the staff wasn't really interested in the guests. The only time I felt like this in the 2 weeks I was in Bhutan. Too bad. But this place needs an upgrade. 
It was quite a fight to book two foot massages. The 2 masseuses tried their best.

Good Location

Hotel entrance is nice , location is good , far from town . Quite place surrounded by hills and paddy fields . Lots of greenery around . lots of flower and fruit trees , apple , pears , apricot , pomegranate etc... 

Rooms : Specious . Full if flies , like fish market , Insect had made their home in the windows. Dim light . Tea and coffee maker was there but no electrical plug points nearby . Not having sufficient plug points to charge mobile phone and camera  . Hotel staff provided electrical extension board but in night there was loud sound and electric spark and board got molten . Fortunately my precious DSLR was not plugged in not any of mobile phone.   

Room does not have any fan and with flies flying around ... you can imagine the stay .  They managed a tiny small fan later . 

Facilities :- No lift . No credit card facilities.  Wifi was strong . 

Food :-  Below Average quality .. Very limited menu in buffet dinner and break fast . As it is far from paro town , for food you have to depend on hotel . 

Restaurant and room service staff were harsh .  

Amount they charge and service they provide are not at all at par.

Janka Resort : All looks good but not well

We were traveling from punakha to paro. The moment we entered the hotel, we were like wow! Such a big room, big bathroom, great view.
Below the hotel were garden of apples, peaches, apricot, pears.
Beautifully decorated with flowers. You can see the fort from your room if you are on second or third floor. 
This was only the initial impressions. 

Now as the day started to end, first thing which we noticed was lights. There is NO proper lighting :(:(:(

Second thing there is no jet spray in toilet. They have given a bucket with a mug with no provision for tap. So you need to take the bucket to the wash basin. Fill it with water then use it. 

This is just the beginning.. 
There is no charging port for devices. They had 2 ports which are already used by table lamp. Anyways we used that port to charge our devices. It was very sweet of them to give an extension board. 
At night around 4am, I heard a blast from the extension board. I woke up and to my horror that board was molten. Luckily my phone wasn't connected to the charger.
A mishap could have been fatal because of wooden flooring. 
Dinner and breakfast not upto the mark.
Room is full of flies. 
Insect had made their home in the windows. 
Male staff are friendly

All that glitters is NOT gold

They call Janka Resort but it doesn’t  even have a service of standard hotels. People working in this place are ill mannered and has a lot of attitude problem. They deal visitors very rudely. Their services are way beyond satisfactory.

Worst place to stay

Good ambience. Nice and quite location. Far away from market but we enjoy the location. As long as having car the no issue with location. Surrounded with mounted and fields. Rooms are spacious. Food was also good. Some Indian dishes were available.
