Only stayed for 2 nights but nice and quiet and a nice location.

Not loads of places to eat close but not far to go in to Gent and parking is easy once you work it out.

Wi-Fi is a good speed.
Tea coffee in the room 
And a well stocked drinks fridge down stairs with good prices.

Would recommend.

Comfortable and clean

Very clean and comfortable with an oriental theme. All five bedrooms are different and on the 2nd floor accessed by stairs. The best and biggest room is the orange one with a bamboo bed frame. Shower, toilet and basin in each room. Quality towels. Good breakfast. Quiet location next to marina and park. 

Tastefully converted Custom House next to a marina. Modern oriental furnishing. Very clean.

The building is nice but overall jl b&b is mediocre. We stayed there for a long time so we got to see it in all its aspects. The day we arrived the owner welcomed us and gave us the biggest room they had, too bad it wasn't cleaned so the next day we asked to have a cleaning because no one had come to clean even the next day. To get to the rooms there is a very narrow and steep staircase so it's not comfortable at all. The bathroom doesn't have a window and jl sink is definitely small. To spend a night (for healthy and fit people) you can go well but always within the limits of what is acceptable. Breakfast is of decent quality, even if you're not making a little breakfast at the place (continental ovens, oats), but you can usually get a nice breakfast at a very nice price.

Mediocre

I liked the location near the bay, the sound of the seagulls in the morning, very clean, delicious breakfast, the hostess was a nice woman, asked me what to make for breakfast, and every day cooked to order, a very nice Japanese garden in the yard with a pond and social carp!

It's a great hotel.

Very comfortable rooms in a unique building. Warm, friendly couple, good breakfast and an amazing garden. Quiet location, but close to amenities. Excellent value for money and well placed for exploring Ghent, Bruges and surrounding area.

Unique Building

This magnificent establishment is located opposite the pleasure harbour of Zelzate. The reception is superb and the owner is very pleasant. Very good taste, the establishment is very quiet, the rooms are spacious and comfortable (two rooms rented). The Japanese garden is splendid. This B&B is really recommended for anyone who goes to Ghent to go to the Netherlands.

Tolkantoor in Zelzate,Belgium is located near the border with Netherland and is near the 
cities of Ghent en Bruges. It is a nice historic place and the owners are very nice people, friendly and correct. There are five rooms in good condition. Excellent for a short break-
Breakfast is good. Only one critical point is that there is no elevator  and the rooms are on the
second floor - Not so easy for older people.

B&B with distinction

Tolkantoor in Zelzate, Belgium is close to the border with the Netherlands and is close to the cities of Ghent and Bruges. It is a beautiful historical place and the owners are very kind, friendly and courteous people. There are five rooms in good condition. Excellent for a short vacation. Breakfast is good. The only critical point is that there is no elevator and the rooms are on the second floor - it is not so easy for older people.

B&Bs with distinction

A nice bed and breakfast along the canal. The building is very well preserved and the architecture is interesting. The hospitality is cordial, nothing more. This hotel is at the end of a pier along the canal. You can watch the pennies and container carriers pass. The equipment is correct, even if my TV was blocked on one channel. This establishment has a soul. I enjoyed it.

That's a great frame.

My room was clean with a comfortable bed and the breakfast offered was simple but very good (soft egg, yogurt, ham, cheese and breadcrumbs). A refrigerator contains ice, wine and homemade beer (2.50 euros) which is worth more than most commercial ones. The only downside is that to eat in the evening you have to take the car. But it is also that the hotel is 35 minutes from Bridge, 25 from Ghent, and 40 from Antwerp.
