I can't say enough about the kindness & generosity of Greta & her family. We stayed there for about 15 days & received a good deal for the long stay. We came to Torhout for medical reasons & the farmhouse is 4 minutes drive (25 minutes moderate walk) away from the hospital. It is also about 5 minutes walk from Carrefour market & we were able to make our own meals in the well-equipped & spacious kitchen. A varied breakfast was provided, however, & special requests were entertained. It was served at our convenient timing, which was dependent on our appointments. We stayed in the Koen room. It had a double bed & a sofa downstairs & a twin bed upstairs. If I'm not mistaken, there were 3 other rooms. I'm not sure if they have an en suite bathroom, but Koen did. It is a farmhouse so don't expect a luxury hotel. The farm is nearby & the family have cows (lot of memorable pictures). You could hear the cows occasionally, but it wasn't loud & it never woke us up.
