Logement 'De Hertog Van Baerle'

A first class overnight stay in a small hamlet in the countryside on the Belgium/ Netherlands border. I particularly enjoyed the complimentary craft beer after a wonderful hard day's cycling! Very good breakfast. Next time, I hope to be able to spend more time enjoying the relaxing atmosphere.

As we had a meeting in Baarle-Hertog, we searched the internet for a place to stay, and ended up in the wonderful B&B. A brand new building, a lofty sitting room, a distinguished dining room and quiet rooms with en-suite facilities. Bikes can be used free of charge, and for those who want, there is the possibility of enjoying a sauna and/or jacuzi, and a private bar at the rear of the garden. Truly magnificent!

It has been a while ago however a really really nice place to stay. So good in fact we send some friends here and they loved it. Good breakfast, well presented place and all in all great B&B. The owners were really friendly and accommodating

Lovely place to stay. The owners can seem a bit eccentric but still nice people. The room was perfect, bed was comfy and everything was perfectly clean. 

We'll definitely not hesitate to go back.

A lovely way to spend a day in the country

Do not recommend this place at all!
First, the picture of the house is a scam.
Only after arriving we realized that we will be staying only in half of the house. The other half belong to the owner that made us feel nervous and stress out.
We asked for another blanket as our kids had to share a bed and didn't want to share a blanket. She made us feel like we were asking for the moon. Said that this is the first time someone ask her that. And refused to provide an extra blanket.
And to top it all, the owner complained that we checked out at 10:00. She reminded us that check out is ''until 10:00''.
To summarize, she just didn't make us feel welcome and it's a shame as she really have a nice place.
She can have a castle (which she does not!), but I will never go to a place that  don't make me feel welcome, especially for my holiday.
