We stayed here for two nights at beginning of September.  Karien is a 
lovely helpful hostess. The studio is compact but has everything you could need,  The location is ideal in the old town, about a 5 minute walk away from the canals, bars and restaurants.  There are also a number of Restaurants very adjacent, including an excellent Thai Restaurant Baan Thai on the same street.  Betty.s bar is also there, run on candle power and very comfortable.
For a fun meal for those with a big appetite, and wishing to be very casual Amadeus is Spare Rib Cafe in the street directly behind the accommodation.
We would most definitely would return here & Karien does some beautiful homemade face creams and soap too!

Fantastic Location.

This small studio is small but well appointed. Located in an incredible area, and very close to the center, it is perfect for one and intimate for two. Karin can accommodate twin beds for folks traveling together. Her web site shows great layouts. There's is even a patio for use in good weather. The tiny kitchen area is great for breakfast and you can cook a simple meal if you want. I was not wowed by what was there for breakfast but was OK with it. Karin's soaps are incredible, totally organic and handmade. She is a delite to talk to. One note:  if you wnat laundry done you cannot use the washer/dryer by yourself, and there is a charge. Highly reccomend for singles or two good friends.

Tiny, cosy and private

You won’t be swinging too many cats in this tiny B&B but you will have a very pleasant and enjoyable experience. Karin has thought of everything and her artistic background clearly shows in the stylish decoration. Breakfast is a treat and more than we could manage to eat. The B&B is in the interesting Patershol area and is also very close to the centre of the old town. Karin has excellent English, is very friendly and will happily offer advice and information. Her soaps are great too. We really enjoyed our stay.

Small but perfectly formed

Karien's personality takes us into his passion for homemade organic care creams, the place smells good with essential oils, the citrus-colored decor, is sparkling and frankly the bed is a must! It's small, but it's so friendly that we're great there...And I really liked meeting Karien, she's a beautiful person!

It's a lovely memory.

This is the most charming adorable little place. Karien has taken great pains to attend to every detail and it shows. I regret we were not able to stay lo longer. Centrally located, right around the corner from Gravestein Castle and there are several restaurants nearby. We enjoyed the breakfast every morning with homemade preserves. Karien also makes her own soaps and lotion that are devine plusses. I especially fell in love with the lemongrass lotion, what a treat. We wanted to take Karien home with us. She is the type of person you want to have for a friend. Other reviews said it was noisy but that was not our experience at all.

Beyond charming

The situation was very central, with the problem of access if you carry heavy suitcases, due to the adoquines. The kitchen was very well equipped with a washing machine and dryer.We stayed 4 nights.The offer was for breakfast included and we barely had for 2, (10 oranges, a dozen eggs (without sarten), two jars of jam, 1 liter of milk and a bottle of coffee) so we had to go to the supermarket to buy what we needed. (I think breakfast included is for all the days of the stay) They said: And by the interim of a welcome surprise; the offer would be possible to make me preference: - A touch of lavender from France (without sarten), a bottle of milk, and a bottle of coffee? - An Italian cocktail that we love, or a French cocktail that we love, that we have no choice but to solve the problem.

Great location, insufficient services.

We loved our stay in this lovely apartment. It was so welcoming and there was a delicious smell from the homemade soaps as we entered the corridor to our rooms. We had everything and very friendly hosts. The location is absolutely perfect for the picturesque heart of ghent. 

Beautiful place 

This B&B offers breakfast included; but you will only find the ingredients to prepare it! To make it you have milk, soluble or ground coffee, tea, cornflakes, eggs, oranges, butter and jam. No microwaves, no bread, no wineries, no snacks. While the ad offers a continental breakfast and served in the studio. Television and luggage are welcome. The soundproofed room is on the ground floor on a walking road with many restaurants around it.

Disappointing quality and price ratio

This little apartment was so very convenient to everything we wanted to visit (on foot or via tram). Karien has such a eye for design - the studio is lovely. And, since she makes her own soaps and has them outside the room, we would leave the door ajar a bit for the wonderful aroma! She gives you a little treat of one on arrival. She was so welcoming and friendly and helpful. We'll stay there again if ever in Ghent.            
Ghent is a beautiful place with much to see and do. (And the mustard is almost worth a visit just for it! The shop is a short walk from the studio- I planned to get some to take home, but sadly we left too early in the morning and the shop was not yet open)

Wonderful spot

The room and the house are very nice, close to the centre but safe from the noise of the cars very familiar and very kind atmosphere Karien, the owner.
