Drabstraat 2 Apartment

We made Gent our home base while in Belgium and were very happy with our decision about the city and DrabStraat2. We stayed four nights while we explored other areas of Belgium. We walked everywhere and enjoyed popping into little shops and found an amazing bakery, Himschoot, and an outstanding local mustard shop, Tierenteyn-Verlent. While the apartment borders a very busy area along the canal, the room was very quiet. One problem was it is above a wonderful chocolate shop that we could not resist stopping in every day we were there. Great chocolates! The apartment was quite large and included a gas fireplace that was cozy to curl up in front of on the chillier evenings. The Kitchen had everything you could want to prepare meals. We usually ate lunch out and had bread and cheese and meats for a lighter dinner, but we did cook breakfast. Ingrid stocked the refrigerator with samples of local beers and water. We enjoyed tasting the various kinds and found a favorite. The bed was very comfortable and the apartment was meticulously clean. We loved our stay here and highly recommend Drabstraat 2. There was an also an amazing linen shop across the street that I recommend.
