Smartflats - Main Street Ghent

Very central to main shops and tourist sites. It's very modern but still needs attention . No toilet seats no dishes to put in oven, no kitchen towels or brush and pan . The couch was very uncomfortable and was a bet that was broken. Bno information on how to use facilities. The door key code was handle was difficult at first  not the key box . I would stay again if the couch was replaced and toilet seats fitted. I sent pictures to Smart flats for there attention.

We had a nice stay , the location was perfect, very close to canals, markets. A 10 min walk to tram 1 or 3 takes you to the station. It says it’s 1st floor, but it’s up a flight. It’s huge space, comfy bed. Only negative was not enough TP , towels not enough for 4 days, and no internet. I did chat with support, no issues were resolved. But it didn’t hamper our stay

The property is nice and good value in a great location. The one disappointment is that there was zero communication. Everything was communicated through AI bots. I had messaged to ask if there was a hairdryer before our trip. AI said yes but when we arrived there was no hairdryer. Several messages per day received only AI replies and it was never resolved. Go prepared to have no help when needed.

Booked the Main Street and the place was fairly clean but the no lift but stairs. The WiFi didn’t work . I was lost and customer support assisted me until I was able to get in the building . It’s situated down a dark alley with no lights so a little scary at night. Right at the centre close to all the attractions and walkable by 7 min .

This property is in a good location if you do not mind some noise in the early hours. The facilities are good and it is roomy. There are however, numerous issues with the flat which we attempted to resolve through WhatsApp messaging. This was a complete waste of time and we eventually gave up1) There is often a strong smell of urine at the building's entrance2) A connecting stairwell, with no windows, does not have a working light. This is definitely a safety hazard3) The wifi is unreliable4) The cutlery is limited. We had one fork5) The frying pan does not work on the hi-tech stovetop6) The closet is full of builder's waste7) We could not get the heated towel rail to work8) We only had five coat hangers, which we hung from screws that  were literally falling from the walls9) There is a smell of dampness. This may because there is no working electric fan in the toilet and shower areas. I bought a can of air freshener10) The flat has a double bed and futon. There were two of us. We were refused linen for the futon even though we did not want to sleep in the same bed11) There is no hairdryerGuests with mobility issues should bear in mind that this flat is accessed by approximately 40 steep steps. Please bring your own dishwashing supplies. Kindly bear in mind that if you have any concerns during your stay, it is very likely that nothing will happen to address them.

Truly Disappointed

The accommodation would be great if it wasn't so dirty and if there was hot water. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. Dirty blankets and towels, I don't recommend cooking in the kitchen, it's just disgusting. Yes, one positive thing is the location... that’s it.

No internet, when you are taravelling is very bad

This place was terrible, there was no hot water or heating and the place was dirty. It was not liveable. We decided to leave on the second day, they told us we would get a refund but two weeks later, we got nothing and they stopped answering us.

The apartment was very dirty. There was no soup, dish washer tablette and the equipment were dirty.The room was very cold and we couldn’t be able to warm the room. The location was perfect but i will never stay in this hotel again.
