Castel de Pont-à-Lesse Hotel

The Castel de Pont à Lesse was exactly the type of hotel we were looking for while visiting Dinant for a few days. After a brief stay in Amsterdam, we were ready for a slower pace and some serenity and the Castel de Pont à Lesse delivered! Nestled within the province of Namur, the drive through the Belgian countryside to the hotel was beautiful. On arriving, we were impressed with the grandeur of the lobby and were immediately greeted by front desk receptionists Adrien and Nicolas, who were very friendly and ensured that our room was perfect -- and it was. Situated on the ground floor, our view looked out on the patio area and pool, as well as the surrounding forest. The room was very clean and quiet, with comfortable bed and pillows. While we only dined once at the hotel, the food and service were exceptional, with great views of the surrounding countryside. The bar was also excellent, with a broad array of cocktails available and a modern, stylish decor that almost contradicted the classic identity of the former chateau. The exterior of the hotel was equally impressive, with ample grounds to stroll and take in the beauty of the surrounding area (despite dreary weather in March). Also, the scenic Walzin Castle is just a short walk away. Back to the front desk, I have to call out Adrien for his great support in helping us manage our travels during the national strike that occurred during our stay. We wouldn't have made our connections without him!
