Such a beautiful property, we loved the modern but cosy design. Exceptionally clean and finished to a high standard. The room we stayed in was spacious and we found it very comfortable with everything we needed. I liked that once checked in, we had a code to access the front door and our room so we could come and go as we pleased, much like in a hotel. Husband and wife team at the property were friendly, helpful and not intrusive. We were given a mobile number to call if we needed anything. We had a mini tour of our room on arrival to show us how the lighting, heating, and air con worked. Rooms have a chargeable mini bar with drinks and snacks and and pricing was clear in the room. There was a coffee machine in the room also. We stayed for two nights and had a wonderful time exploring the city, it’s a beautiful place and we’d love to go back again in the spring. Everything just a few minutes walk away and so many lovely shops and great places to eat. We parked in one of the city’s multistory car parks, Zilverpand, only a 5 minute walk away and it cost us around 30 euros for two nights which we thought was reasonable. Would definitely book to stay here again, it was perfect to us!

They took every opportunity to charge an extra few euros, staff weren’t particularly friendly in particular the old chap. How can a luxury hotel not have hand soap? How can the tap water be undrinkable but then charge €3.50 for a small bottle of water? Breakfast somehow went from €25 euro per person to €28 on the bill, and they charge for any extras!

Beautiful property and rooms with excellent facilties. Can get quite noisey at weekends with passers-by. Would defiently stay again

The people who run this B&B are just lovely. They also give great recommendations for things to do and places to eat.

Great place to stay

This bed and breakfast turned out to be a pleasant discovery. My family and I booked a night in Bruges to visit this wonderful city. The staff at the hotel were kind and available. We took two rooms and were satisfied. The night was quiet and we slept well. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean. The bathroom is functional and essential.

Comfortable and affordable

We were very well received by the owner, with good tourist advice and restaurants that are not tourist attractions. The room is spacious and very clean. Very good breakfast. Nothing to reproach.

My daughter and I stayed at Brughia B & B for a weekend in October, 2019. We arrived late on the Friday night and after there being an absence of taxis at the train station, we wondered whether we might also face problems accessing the  B & B by way of the entry code we had been forwarded. We need not have been concerned.  It was all very easy and very efficient. 

Our room was delightful--up a flight of stairs, large, comfortable and clean as well as being tastefully decorated. The bathroom was also fine. Good shower and very clean.

We met Bieke, our host next morning  when we joined a communal table to have our breakfast. The communal table was a nice, friendly way of doing things.  I should say that the breakfast room  was elegantly furnished and welcoming, too. The breakfast itself was fine. As others have commented, there was not a bowl of fresh fruit etc but we were happy with our pastries and eggs. Nicely presented and enough for us. 

Bieke was a helpful host, who suggested things we might do for the day. She also gave us recommendations for dinner and advised us to book, which turned out to be excellent advice as places were rather busy, there being a sporting event in town that weekend. The B&B was very handy. An easy walk into the centre of town and a short taxi ride from the railway station. 

The only reason that I am not scoring this B & B 5 out of 5 is because there was  an issue with payment. Bieke told us we could pay by cash or for an additional 8 euros, we could pay by card. I opted to pay by card but Bieke's card payment machine would not work. (I suspected that this was not the first time there had been problems with it.) Meanwhile, our cab taking us to the railway station waited outside as numerous unsuccessful attempts to pay were made. In the end, Bieke was kind enough to trust us by saying just pay via an international transfer when you get back to London. Although international transfers are quite an expensive way to pay, I was happy to go along with that method, given the circumstances.  However, it  proved a bit of a nightmare when I was given a bank account name and number that didn't match. Several attempts at facilitating an international transfer  were rejected (and each attempted transfer and rejection incurred bank charges).  Unfortunately, sorting things out was time consuming, involving many interactions with my bank and  Bieke's partner. This was frustrating for both sides but we managed to maintain  'cordial relations'. (Politeness on both sides helped.)   I think the moral of the story is probably, if you are running a B&B, you need to make sure that your card payment equipment is working, if you offer a card payment facility. Alternatively, just advertise from the outset that you only take cash. 
I would recommend this B&B to others.

Excellent. Very good location 5 minutes from Belfort and the main witch square. Very complete and good quality breakfast. impeccable, very friendly and serviceable hostess care. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Highly recommended.

Very good location.

Our family of four had the most amazing time here. The place is beautiful, the location is very central, yet quiet, our room, the top floor, was very spacious and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, but most importantly the hospitality was superb. Bieke welcomed us warmly and gave us the best tips about what to do and where to eat in Brugge. If you want a real local experience, this is an amazing place to stay.
