The Sands Barbados All Inclusive

On arrival we were allocated room 84 which was located with a garden/pool view. The room was 2 storeys with a living room and kitchen area on the ground floor and the bedroom and bathroom upstairs.The balcony was a good size with a great view of the pool and the ocean. Bed was comfortable with plenty of extras and the air con in the room was fab with adequate wardrobe space, TV ,iron and board and hair drier all spot on. We were all inclusive so all our food and drinks were included. All meals were served in the On the Water restaurant which was open air right next to the beach with great views. Breakfast was a buffet and had all you wanted, full english or continental all lovely especially the bacon. The lunch and dinner varied between a la carte which gave you a choice of 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 desserts or a couple of nights was a help yourself buffet. There was always something good to eat. Also there were several days when we skipped lunch as they did a barbecue with burgers etc which were delicious. The bar area was fine and you didn't have to wait long to be served. Absolute vodka was available and Heineken on draft. The pool area was lovely and the sun beds were very comfortable with thick cushions on and towels were supplied fresh whenever you needed them. The beach area had the traditional sun beds on and were put out at about 7.30 each morning. We booked a couple of trips/shows through the hotel with Chad who looked after us the whole stay and was a lovely lad. We went on the Tiami catamaran cruise which was brilliant, Carlisle Bay which was another beach further up the coast and was beautiful and Harbour Lights evening dinner show which was very enjoyable. All reasonably priced and I would recommend them 100%. The hotel evening entertainment was mainly singers/groups singing varied music and was pleasant enough if you wanted a chilled evening We ventured out a couple of nights with The St Lawrence Gap being a 10 minute walk away with a lovely vibe and plenty of bars, and restaurants, a really nice nite out as lively or quite as you chose. All in all we had a fabulous holiday in Barbados and for us the Sands was the perfect place to stay. All the staff were so polite and welcoming and the hotel was just lovely. I would fully recommend this hotel and will definitely be back
