I have stayed here several times and it's always great.  The apartment has everything you need (I like to cook some of your meals) it's always clean, comfortable and quiet. The maid service is excellent and the staff are friendly.  For me it's the perfect location as the beach is right across the street, Cave Sheppard is next door and the banks and grocery stores are a block away.  I highly recommend staying at the Anthurium Suites!

Great place to stay!

I stayed at Anthurium Suites twice, once in July 2011 and again in October 2013 and on both occasions, I was not disappointed. First of all, the most outstanding element of this guest house is the warmth and friendliness of the owner, Mr Deen and his receptionist. They are always there to make guests feel welcomed and comfortable. He even offered to take us around to the various hot spots on the island!

In terms of the location- IDEAL. Located in Worthing, Christ Church, A.S. is located literally next to Cave Shepherd (duty- free shopping). Few more footsteps , one could find 2 supermarkets, post office, bank, gas station and a restaurant (an impeccably one, I should note!) serving rotisserie chicken, local seafood and a good variety of sides. Just opposite is the bus stop, incase there is a desire to try out local transport. Finally, A.S. is located within 5-10 mins walk from Worthing and Rockley (Accra) beach.

With regards to the rooms, there was a kitchenette equipped a refrigerator, toaster, electric stove and with basic utensils- kettle, pots, pans, cutlery, drinking glasses, tea mugs etc etc. Towels and bathroom supplies were provided, and the area is cleaned on a daily basis. All apartments are totally secure and private. There are no pools, but who needs this when there are gorgeous beaches within minutes? 

Finally, in terms of cost, rates per night are VERY affordable so guests can get their money's worth. I would definitely recommend A.S. to those who want to keep a check on their budget, those who want an ideal location. For me, I will look no further for bajan accommodation.

My First Choice for Barbados Accommodation

After checking out of the Halcyon due to it's conditions. The Anthurium was a life saver. The rooms were spacious, clean, the conditions of the rooms were more than adequate. The kicthenette was well equipped. I could not have asked for anything more or less. (maybe the AC could do with a bit of updating but that's minor). Location wise you could not be in a more central location, close to shops, eating places, beaches within walking distances, internet cafe at a low cost right across the road. Tomika, the staff on reception was very welcoming and helpful. Dean the owner was always on hand if you were in need of anything. The suites are located in a quite area despite being centrally located which is the uniquness of it. So you can go out clubbing, Oystins, party on the beach etc but be rest assured your coming home to peace and quite which is just so cool. I will definately stay here when next i visit Barbados. I had a fab time well worth the price...

There is no pool but you can use the pool at Worthing Court which is literally next door.

Lovely place. Highly recommend it!

Hi I just visited Barbados at the end of Crop Over for 10days with my daughter and we had a blast!!! The stay at the Anthurium Suites was affordable and very private and quiet location but near all the ACTION! We could walk out and be at Cave Shepards instead of going into Bridgetown and walking distance to the beautiful Accura Beach where we met wonderful locals. 
It was our 1st family reunion and family came from all over. 

The manager Dean and his assistance is so warm and welcoming!

Private/Affordable Vacation

Excellent accomodation, 2 min to the beach, friendly & helpfull staff and total privacy. They even let us stay in the apartement till 6 pm on our last day free of charge !! We liked being 2 min walk to the supermarket and 10 min to St.lawrence Gap. Yet our beach was nearly empty the whole week we were there! Excellent transport connections to the West and South coast of the island too. Would definetely recomment to our friends.
