Elena is a multi-talented wonder: gourmet chef, photographer, interior designer, small business owner, solar electrician, landscape designer, ground water hydrologist, kite-boarder, and hotel manager. The location is off the grid and relies on its own solar energy, solar water heating, and water wells. There is internet access from a satellite connection. The property is surrounded by the Pigeon Creek National Park. Kayaking in the creek (really more of a long, narrow lagoon) is fantastic - the mangroves are very healthy and full of birds, turtles, fish, and rays. There are some small uninhabited islands off shore that can be reached by kayak. There is absolutely NO light pollution for nighttime stargazers. There is a network of old roads laid for a residential development that was never built that are now partially overgrown and perfect for hiking and bird-watching. This is a great place to get away from it all!
