The property was closed when we got there, and no other hotels were available so we had to cut short our vacation

Stayed here for 11 days in March and loved the location, beach, work staff and uniqueness! Yes it’s a bit run down, the water pressure needs some help and they could sweep the floors better but the people were so friendly and the rooms were cool! Breakfast was the same every morning but was good and always served with a smile! We saw them cleaning the pools but they were chilly and we are beach people so it didn’t matter. We brought lounge chairs down to the beach every day and it wasn’t a big deal! The location is perfect for walking to get groceries, liquor, many restaurants, the caves and catching the bus to go downtown. If you are used to turn down service and room service you won’t do well here. It’s safe, small, quaint and has a beautiful beach!

Unique and laid back

The property is aging but, at it's heart, could be an amazing place. The problem is twofold: (1) the staff care so little about the guests you'll want to leave, because the whole property feels so unwelcoming, and (2) things cost far beyond the normal markup, double what you'll find even at touristy Nassau places. For us specifically, we found blood on our sheets and when asking for new ones, the staff seemed to take it personally instead of apologizing and replacing them. They aren't interested in explaining what's nearby, how to use transit, or anything else beyond the most cursory and unhelpful phrase. They did it with a smile, but that didn't help. The vibe of the place was just so unwelcoming we spent most of our time elsewhere, when I would've preferred to enjoy drinks and food on their beach or in the back. And oh yeah, the hot tub was broken and pools dirty, as others say.

It's too bad they don't seem to care about their guests

Couple of things, this place has a very cute charm about it. Our room came with a one hour massage and I upgraded to a 90 minute. I’m 90% positive the girl isn’t trained as a massage therapist. She also burned me multiple times when she added in hot stones. I personally don’t recommend them for a true spa experience. Next, we checked in on a Tuesday and paid extra for an oceanfront room. On Tuesdays, apparently the restaurant leases out the outside court yard area and they have karaoke. From 8 until midnight (didn’t end at 10), we couldn’t hear each other in our room, the tv, nor the ocean waves we paid extra for. It was not an experience people expect on vacation especially staying at a spa resort. Breakfast yesterday morning was great. This morning we were only allowed 1 cup of coffee and bacon wasn’t really cooked and no choice as to how we wanted our eggs. The pool needed to be cleaned. The toilet in our room constantly ran and the bathtub doesn’t work. The showerhead also needs replaced in a very bad way. The positive is there was hot water.we were approached by various staff asking if we wanted to buy drugs and they also asked us for cigarettes. This place has so much more potential and could make so much more money if ran properly.

Could be such an awesome place if run properly

We rented the Three Little Birds suite. Don’t do it! Bed bugs are the worst! I’ve typically traveled with a silk sheet, this time though, we didn’t have one for both of us. I went to the doctor when I got back to California cause I’m pregnant and yes- I HAVE BED BUGS!!! So nasty. 
Truly though, the hotel barely greeted us upon arrival, we had to find our way around. Bob Marley’s music and most his dedications are kept in one small viewing room. Yes, just one room. Like uh- did we go to a mini museum and not a boutique hotel? Room service? Only if you flirt with the bar staff. Otherwise nope. Ocean views? Only for the two largest suites. Sure there is a nice pool, the hot tub was cool and layered with debris. Ample manicure pedicure advertisement available in the room yet we had to call down for the WiFi. The staff was friendly and on my request did change the Mellow Sounds of the 80’s over to reggae eventually. I mean seriously, it was bizarre. Nice beach access but hey, that’s everywhere in Nassau. 
We really wanted to stay away from the casinos; I suggest doing that somewhere else. (Scratch scratch, ugh!) 


Bed Bugs! 

This place has a lot of character and with some upgrades could be really special. We’re staying in a garden view suite, which actually has an ocean view out one of the windows. The rooms by the pool with a balcony would be really nice, I think. Do not expect this to be anything like a resort, or anything luxury or fancy. It’s an old house with creaky wooden stairs and dirty rugs and dark wood and very few amenities or services. One key per room (actual key) and loose lock. If you’re concerned with security this is not the place for you, though I never felt at risk. Feels like grandma’s house and is quite cool but not really worth what they charge (like the whole island...). There is a small Bob Marley museum/ room and the rooms are named for songs, which is neat. We’re low maintenance and didn’t want a wristband style resort so this place was nice in a quaint/ unique way. If you can go and book in person and negotiate a price it could be better than online. We’re basically the only ones here and they gave us a discount for a week stay. 

Pros:
- Beautiful views of the water (the colors!)
- Quiet location and (very small) pool area with 2 small pools and seemingly no one around. We felt like we had the place to ourselves. 
- Very simple (free) breakfast with one scrambled egg, one piece of bacon and one piece of toast. Good strong coffee and friendly service.
- Bus service outside (#10 or 12 and pay when you get off) to get you downtown $1.25 each way (about 6 miles so too far to walk). Not a good walking/ biking area but we still did it every day. Lots of fast traffic and spotty sidewalks. Convenient grocery store and little mall across the street for supplies. Fridge in the room. Microwave would be nice. 
- No drunks/ partying/ noise except maybe a small crowd in the bar (about 6 stools), nice to be away from the downtown daiquiri/ cruise ship scene. Could be a pro/ con :)
- Friendly employees when you do see one- just don’t expect a housekeeping cart or daily service. I’m sure they’d replace towels if you request it. We asked for beach towels at the front desk. 

Cons:
-There are no screens so we have to keep the windows closed a lot of the time due to mosquitoes.
- The hot tub is not hot at all, and the 2 pools are quite cool so we never saw anyone use any of them. No fitness center and I never checked out the spa but it felt closed. Again, not a resort. 
- The beach is private and quiet (and tiny) but also steep and rough (not a good swimming beach), and too short for walking. It says Cable Beach but that is actually down the way, closer to Baha Mar. The beach is nice for sitting but no reef for snorkeling, only a hundred yards long, and no amenities (umbrellas, drinks, etc). Most of the buildings around are run down and abandoned (like much of the island). 
- No hooks in the room/ bathroom to hang towels or wet stuff. Very few lamps. Room feels unfinished but with cool old wood. Very rustic. Dicey toilet fan, dark bathroom, everything feels old except for new doors and tile. 
- No real service in the rooms, no coffee for the maker, etc but when we went downstairs they happily gave us some more toilet paper. It’s kind of a self- service hotel with sometimes zero staff around. No hot water originally but they did repair it.
- Restaurant slow and expensive but pretty good. Not much else in the area. Everywhere in Nassau after dark requires expensive taxi rides so it’s too bad there’s not more within walking distance (just fast food/ chains). We would take the bus downtown for an early dinner and then a $25 cab ride home. 



Quiet aging hotel with a lot of character

Upon arrival you were greeted wonderfully by the staff. Shawna gave us a tour of the property while waiting to check in as we were early. Throughout our stay Shawna and Anthony were very kind and helpful.

The continental breakfast consist of one egg, one toast, one piece of bacon or one muffin and some days fruit other is not. 
One evening the restaurant was closed before 5 PM and when we went to eat they told us they had to close due to bad weather, it was just rain. they also closed on Christmas day without warning guests.

The rooms were not cleaned regularly and our carpet seems like it had not been vacuumed in months and months. They did not replenish the water, coffee, soaps and even the towels when we had tossed them on the floor or toilet paper without asking. The jacuzzi tub did not work and I kept getting told they were busy but would send somebody up eventually which never happens. 
The swimming pools and hot tub appeared to need major cleaning. The hallways and stairwells were never washed or swept the whole time we were there and horribly filthy.

The location was not horrible but it was on the west end of town making it a long walk to get into town. The views were spectacular.

After talking to many other guests they told me that had the same experiences. 

For the price I paid I would not stay at this resort again. 

What a Disgrace

After what was a very exhausting Manic Monday, I yearned for an atmosphere with music, great food and awesome vibes.  I had dozens of places in mind then suddenly while driving pulled into the Marley Resort.   Camille, my server, went above and beyond to allow me to sit out on the pool deck even though it the table was not set and she was an angel and her service was impeccable.   The views that evening, the food and the service made me feel like a king.  I'd recommend this place ANY day for tranquility and serenity.

Ambient Energy...Delectable Meal

We were in Nassau for 24 hours and decided fo spend the day at The Bob Marley resort. It was STORMING when we arrived. The hot young is the only thing enclosed and it was broken. We hung out about 2 hours to wait out the weather and then requested our driver pick us up.  We waited 2 hours in the lobby for a ride back to our cruise ship. 

What a waste..:

Had such an amazing holiday at Marley Resort and Spa. Pure relaxation in beautiful surroundings. The staff are really friendly and helpful adding to the great trip I’ve had. The food is brilliant especially the buffalo wings! Thoroughly recommend this place and will definitely be returning
