Vilesh Palace Hotel

so since we went by car from tehran to baku, decided to find someplace half way to stay the first night, rest a little and see someplace off the beaten track... we are so happy we found this place! we were concerned about how to get these from astara (border) but luckily they have a amazing general manager by the name of ali that really goes above and beyond of whatever his clients need. I shot the hotel an email and he came and picked us up in his suv and really gave us an amazing ride to the hotel, stopping on the way to help me get a sim card, a cold brewsky, a stop at a local forrest with nice bed of water and even exchange some dollars>manat at the best rate in my whole visit. We ran into him in the evening , chilling by their swimming pool, enjoying drinks and delish local appetizers and if your into shisha (hookah) really recommend theirs, burns for hours..! so we played some backgammon with him (although seems the azari rules are unlike the ones im used to ) and we discussed iranian-azari affairs (more like him and my wife friendly arguing about famous poets that iranians claim were iranians and azeris claim were azeri, lol) anyways he even had his lobby guy the next day take us to Bilasuvar , so it would cost us less to get to baku (only cost us $5 manat each by mini bus...mind you the cabs were trying to rip us off but luckily a mini bus came to the rescue)| anyways got side tracked a little, the hotel is CLEAN, really nice outdoor restaurant, swimming pool, bird garden but thats about it. Dont expect anything fancy, cause its not. Breakfast was nothing fancy either, some local breads, cheeses and local tea. Nothing to write home about but for the price, im a happy camper. word to the wise, do not pre-pay on hotels dot com, just pay them locally. They had some issue connecting to their servers, which ali was cool about and allowed us to leave while they figured it out but i think they would just prefer you pay them cash.....
