Kirchenwirt Ahrer

We stopped off here as it was halfway between two business meeting places, and wanted a taste of alpine hospitality. We certainly got it here! The hotel is old fashioned, but very nice and comfortable. The rooms were a good size and comfortably appointed. The blankets were warm, and made a great contrast to the cold alpine air from having my window open all night. A great night's sleep! The internet was fast too, which was a bonus, and the balcony in the room was great with a view to the snow capped alps. There's a restaurant attached to the hotel with hearty meals, and it's walking distance to the rest of the town, including a great little micro-brew about 200m away. We got back to the hotel too late for dinner (it was off season), but the host was more than happy to make some very tasty sandwiches for us! Breakfast was nice too, with a good continental selection and eggs cooked to order. I was pleasantly surprised by the hospitality and warmly recommend this place.
