Jugendhotel Angerhof

I can say this hotel is a very nice one. First when booking online there was no cancellation or refund which we didn’t intend to but is always nice to have. Reception was attended by, I assume, the owner who was very welcoming and even helped in carrying bags to our room, no elevator. We arrived at dinner time, so we headed to the hotel restaurant and we didn’t regret it. As we ate one of the most delicious vegetarian meals ever with filling quantities and relatively quick service since it is a set menu. Next days the meals weren’t as excellent as first day but were good enough. I had to pay cash since no credit card was possible which is awkward in my opinion and I had to reach out for the nearest cash machine, which is about 5-7 min drive, nevertheless the owner said it is possible for later. Rooms are of sufficient space. While room heating was turning it into summer with no possibility to control temperature in the room. Beds are ok but we were surprised that no Shampoo or Soap is provided or available in the hotel with the reason given that this is a Youth hotel!! I even offered to buy at the reception but they had a soap bar to offer free of charge. Internet speed was okeyish. Parking was free. There’s a playing room where Air Hickey and Table tennis are available. Overall a pleasant experience and I’d go back wishing for improvement.
