Hotel Häuserl im Wald

We stayed as a couple in this hotel for our stay in early winter December 2013 - a preseason, so there was some day nearly nobody with us, so we felt like at home. It is small mountain family run hotel with restaurant - more people coming from outside in the evening. Location is really nearly in woods - there are some other houses around, but still outside the village, great for those looking a tranquil place. Our room was quite spacious and recently renovated (we were first to sleep there), with great nice bathroom and great view to the valley - and other rooms were similar. Just when we stayed there, the owner (himself) renovated another room - they really care for their hotel and guests. We had some minor technical issues and all were promptly solved (except wifi, which did not work for most of our stay despite their effort - we got at least several apologizes). Not all of staff speaks fluently English, but all could be managed. Breakfast was very varied, with custom orders possible, dinners were all excellent - I do not wonder people come to their restaurant. There is small wellness with sauna in the hotel, small, but quite nice. For country-skiers, there is a track just at the hotel, unfortunately there was little snow during our stay, so we needed to drive a bit upwards - and we got great recommendations from the staff. Definitely we will come back again.
