Stadthotel Restaurant Auerhahn

The Auerhahn is a traditional family run town centre hotel with excellent local shops and amenities. It is at the heart of Vocklabruck and always busy with visitors, local patrons, and people enjoying a meal or drink in the Stadtplatz terrace. Peter the owner and his sons run the hotel as a family and are helpful and keen to make customers happy. They worked hard to make us feel at home during and after my wife's treatment. Peter provided us with a spacious and comfortable room light, airy, clean and well serviced by his team. We found the Auerhahn by accident, my wife became ill and was treated at the local hospital. So we have been guests here for over a month including a convalescence period for my wife. Auerhahn is well located in the centre of Vocklabruck a short walk from the Vienna - Salzburg rail link. Local lakes and stunning alpine scenery are in easy driving distance, car parking available at the rear of the Hotel. The kitchen provides an excellent menu with genuine local cuisine, a great generous self service breakfast available from 05.00 to 10.00, you can order cooked eggs freshly prepared and special coffees on demand. A river flows by to the rear a short walk away and there is a Lido for swimming. This is not a "have a nice day" formula hotel but one which is run by real hoteliers for whom the Auerhahn is a passion and way of life, a great experience. It is very popular with local patrons. The staff have given us the best service we have ever experienced. My wife and I will be back.
