Enzian Pension

The moment I found on internet the Suite room at Pension Enzian, it was decided that we would spent our Christmas Eve holiday there: 29.12.2016 - 1.1.2017, 3 nights (and it was only from the internet feedbacks). But the moment we stepped into the Suite on the top floor of the pension, we fell in love with it and it was the best accommodation we have had so far. The Suite was spacious, with Infra sauna included, separated living room and bedroom. The room was perfectly clean, quiet and very very comfortable and cosy, just like at home. As we spent there the last days of 2016, it was winter and cold outside, but inside, just perfect (after all day of hiking and visiting surroundings of Wolfgansee, taking the Sauna time was the perfect ending of December days :-). There is only 5 rooms in the pension and the suite occupies the top, 2nd floor, so you don´t need to be afraid of noise at all. It is a perfect stay for a couple, just 10 minutes from the Village center (on foot) with free wifi and parking in front of the pension itself. We enjoyed very much the hospitabilty of the owner who was preparing to us breakfast every morning and it was delicious! (do not expect cornflakes or yoghurts, after all, you are in Austria so enjoy wonderful cheeses, fresh bread - various types every day, salami, ham, boiled eggs, jam and butter, fresh juice, coffee, etc.). every morning before leaving for turism we were looking for that breakfast session :-) The only pitty was that the Schafberg train that pasess near the pension and can take you to the montain was not going as it was not the season for it, so definitely we will return in summer to take it and we will stay again in Pension Enzian! While there, enjoy the possibilty to see the village center and tasty local cuisine (we had dinner twice at Dorf Alm Restaurant and it was perfect with pleasant waiters who spent some words with you), you can take the ship ride either to the village Strobl or Sankt Gilgen were you must take the cable car up to the mountain Zwolfernhorn, wonderful experience with the views! We had our own car so don´t miss Hallstaat and Salzburg once in that region, it is worth it. Finally, we felt so fine at Pension Enzian also for small details made by the owners, we found always little chocolates on our beds or in the bag on a doorhandle (see the photo), as well as a welcome detail there was a small bottle of Prosecco. thank you for the perfect stay and we will be back definitely! :)
