Ibis Wien Hauptbahnhof

I stayed at Ibis Wien Hauptbahnhof as a solo traveler and was really impressed with the overall experience. The room was bright, modern, and spotless, with a powerful shower and a perfectly functioning air conditioner, which was much appreciated during the warm weather. The hotel is in a fantastic location—just steps away from Vienna’s main train station, where you can find shops, restaurants, and supermarkets like Billa and Interspar. Right outside the hotel there's a square full of additional shops, restaurants, and even a Hofer supermarket. The U1 metro line (Sudtiroler Platz) is about 5 minutes away, and tram/bus stops are even closer, making it super easy to get around. I even walked to Belvedere Palace in under 10 minutes. The reception staff were kind, welcoming, and helpful, which made a big difference as a solo guest. One nice modern touch was the QR code on the table—you can scan it to request anything you need, like extra towels, toilet paper, a sewing kit, etc. It made everything very simple and hassle-free. The only downside for me was the pillow—it was extremely soft and offered no support. I asked for a firmer one but was told that this is the only type they provide, which did affect my sleep quality. Also, note that the TV channels are only in German, which may matter for some travelers. I would recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, convenience, and overall great service—especially for solo travelers looking for comfort and an ideal base in Vienna.
