Sportpark

I recently stayed here on business for 4 nights and my experience was generally a very good one. The hotel is very quiet and set in beautiful surroundings not that far away from Vienna city but, if you need to get into Vienna city from here, you will probably need to use a car or taxi. The hotel restaurant, bar and service were all very good (if a little slow at times) and the swimming pool was a real bonus. The accommodation was adequate and clean but the wi-fi signal in my room was quite weak and unusually these days there were no tea / coffee making facilities in the room. More importantly, there were no security features on my bedroom door - again. these days, most hotels incorporate spy-holes and security latches or chains on their bedroom doors and, in fact, a security latch would have enabled me to 'prop' the door open to allow a flow of air through from my room into the corridor outside. This brings me on to my main issue which was the temperature in my bedroom. With the outside temperature high (around the low 30s), there was no air conditioning in my room and, even with the windows thrown wide open, it seemed that the heat built up during the day was released from the building at night. I borrowed a fan from reception which at least moved the air around in the room a little but of course this did nothing to reduce the stifling temperatures in the room. All of this being said, this hotel was good value and a joy to stay at and I will do so again without hesitation.
