Vienna-Apartment4You

We stayed in Apartment Flora, part of Apartment4you, for five nights. A taxi from the main train station cost 8 euro, and we were met at the apartment on arrival. A large wooden door from the street took us into a cobbled path, then up a few steps into a foyer which didn't have a light on, so we had to find our phone for torchlight to locate the elevator button, as well as the light switch. Three apartments led off the foyer from the elevator, and we heard no noise from them during our stay. On entering the apartment, stairs to a rooftop terrace and the bathroom were on the right, then the hall lead into a spacious lounge/kitchen/dining room. It was furnished with a three-seater sofa, 4 seater dining table and benches, and floor cushions. The separate bedroom lead off this and was spacious with a comfortable bed and ample cupboards. The bathroom was small but contained a shower, boiler, WC and washbasin. The hot water lasted for only half the first shower and was from then on luke warm, but I brought this to the management's attention, so will hopefully be fixed. There were no toiletries other than soap. The kitchen had a ceramic cooktop, dishwasher, one frypan and a pot, but good crockery and glassware. A range of teas and coffee was provided. The roof terrace was small with a table and chairs, looking over rooftops. Two supermarkets are a few minutes walk away. Trams travel along the next block, but we found for access to the city we were best to walk a few blocks to get the No 19 tram. To walk into the city was 30 minutes. Belvedere Palace was a short walk away, and there were restaurants nearby.
