A lovely stay. Rooms are basic but very comfortable, a lift is available to reach upper floors. Only 3 minutes walk from the station, and a court yard at the rear for parking if you drive. If at the front, you will hear the trains, just close the window.
Breakfast is fabulous, a choice of fruits, yogurt, a selection of cold meats, all backed up by a vast selection of breads and wonderful Viennese cakes and pasties. More than enough to set you up for the day.
Best if all is, Ingrid, who takes an interest in her clients, and went out of her way to help me on my adventure. Many thanks I hope I will return soon.

A haven of peace in a busy city.

We try two hotel in the center of Vienna but we were unhappy, fist one was terribly hot, second one too much crowed. So we went to this one and stay for 5 nights. It is located at the end of the tube and trains lines, a bit out of the city but you can reach the center in 15 minutes: 5 minutes walking to reach the near station and 10 minutes on the train. The hotel is very quite, perfect to relex, there are plenty of restaurants and food markets near by. We especially appreciated the quality of the bed, the pillows, the linen and the towels, all soft and made to the best quality. Forniture are old, air condinioning a little noisy so there is space for improvements but the place is nice and the owner is very kind so I recomend it for a family long stay. Not for a business fast stop.

A nice little family hotel in a quite place

We stayed here with our 4 kids,we had 2 rooms next to each other, as it was more affordable to be outside city. We were so very pleasantly surprised at how lovely it was. Older hotel but very well maintained in classy Viennese style. We loved it! Very friendly staff. Nice clean rooms with chandeliers and nice furniture. Breakfast included and was lovely. Train and bus station less then a block away to take you into heart of Vienna in 15-20 minutes. So easy!  Spotlessly clean bathrooms and excellent showers. We want to come back! 

Wonderful classy hotel

Our group had two rooms, for two nights. The rooms were clean, and adequate. The furniture was older but well looked after, however a tea or coffee maker would have been appreciated.
Parking is limited but free. One of the big attributes of this hotel is how well it's run and how friendly, helpful and proffessional the staff are. The breakfast room is bright and airy and run by a lady who came across as your favourite Aunt. I've had bigger breakfast buffets, but this one was very good, with a decent range of food.
Vienna is quite an expensive place to visit, and in my opinion, using this hotel is a good way to go about it without breaking the bank. 
The hotel is minutes away from the underground U4 line that takes you quickly into the heart of Vienna. 
We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

A modest, but well run hotel in a good location for visiting Vienna on a budget!

Vienna hotels are expensive so we stayed at this property because it was far enough out of town to be affordable. The location is superb as it just two minute walk from U4 underground that will take you to the Karlstadt stop that gets you to the heart of Vienna for just 2.40 Euros. The property was easy to access from the motorway, the location offers free parking, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The facility was very old but remodeled nicely with an authentic flair. The room was just average and we did hear our neighbors above and next door quite a bit. The breakfast was typical European style. The only hot item was hard boiled eggs. It was a decent value for the money. I would stay again to help avoid the exorbitant prices of hotels in Vienna.

Great location, Average Accommodations

The rooms are clean, comfortable, with good air conditioning which is very important in the summer. Breakfast is good but I’m critical of the fact that they had no gluten free bread on day 2 because they did not have the foresight to purchase it. Apologies are fine but I couldn’t eat them! It spoilt my stay. Car parking is an issue. If the hotel marked parking bays it could make things better.

A comfortable welcoming hotel

Our stay at the “An der Wien” was excellent. We had a very warm welcome at the reception, with absolutely no issues when requesting to shorten our stay by one night. The hotel is located right outside the train/u-Bahn station “Wien Hütteldorf” which has very good transport links to the city centre. The room was cosy and super clean! And the beds ... an absolute dream to sleep on. Breakfast was included and was buffet style, with plenty of choices. All staff have been super friendly and effortless. 
Definitely recommend when you are staying in the area to visit family and friends.
There is nothing special about it, but it’s well executed and a charming Viennese style hotel.
