This was my first stay at Vienna. Had chosen this property as a transit point due to its nearness to eurocars terminal.
Positives of the property:
1. Bang on the main road.
2. Pocket friendly
3. Spacious rooms
4. Good buffet breakfast.
5. Nearness to market and Restaurants.

Negatives are:
1. Smell of tobacco in all the rooms and corridors.
2. Dark and gloomy look 
3. Serves only breakfast. Not other meals.

Are you making a joke of me?I never,but never will make another reservation on your site.I wrote a letter to you sbout what happened,but you didn't care,I will advice all my friends not to travel with you.

Worst ,worst,worst

Not a hotel...more like a flop/doss house for homeless people and refugees.
Filthy...expensive...no hot water...dirty underwear left in room by previous guests...blood stains on mattress...gum on floor...broken furniture....never a manager on duty to rectify complaints...and on and on...

Avoid!

I booked this because it was close to a subway station and I would not need to change trains to get to my meeting for the week.  I wanted something inexpensive because I would only be in the room to sleep.  The room was very hot and the radiators could not be controlled.  The window was easy to open.  The window was well insulating and it blocked most of the traffic noise at night.  There was no room service, but I probably could have asked for more toilet paper.  It was an interesting place to stay in Vienna.  There are inexpensive shops and restaurants by the U-bahn station.  I would stay there again to save money for the opera, but likely not for four nights.

Under renovation or should be

The hotel is not called Cyrus anymore...it's Syrus.The hotel has not been renovated for years. The fotos have nothing to do with the hotel/hostel.We bokked two nonsmoker rooms...all were smoking rooms and stinked.They clean every day, but i did not see the effect of it. We paid(our msitake) and did not recieve a reciept. First night, a boiler poped and filled the flor with water and we were without warm water, heating or power.One room had no tv, the mirror was hanging from a frame with ducktape, and the reclinig chair inside was tworn to pieces.The other room had the sink in the hallway and was not fixed and fell a couple of time and there was water comming out everytime you washed. One bed was lacking a foot(10cm) and my friend could barely sleep because any movement tilted the bed. The matrace had a hole under it and felt like sleeping in a hole. Everything is falling apart!The most horrible experience. Please that this HOSTEL of the website!

Horrifing experience

No heating, they brought in a portable radiator not freeze to death. Literally no cover on the beds and they could not even give one.

Night mare

I've traveled the world and have seen some bad accommodations, but this was truly scary. The minute I checked in I tried calling Expedia and waited for 45 minutes until I gave up. So, I doubt they will allow this to post.  The area is really, really, really scary. Checkin area dirty and smelly, filthy, no English. Hallways under construction, exposed everything, no light in hallway, used phone light to find room.  Bad smell everywhere. Shoes were sticking to room floor, room hadn't been cleaned well, exposed electrical wiring, fleas in bed, itching all night, took them with me on the rest of my trip, entire room falling apart and dirty everywhere. Again, I can't imagine Expedia allowing this review. The price was $77, which was criminal.

One of the dirtiest hotels I've ever stayed in, and I've stayed in some greasy hotels.

Grease hole

The first room we got put in the door handle came off as we opened the door, there was no head on the shower, or working light in the bathroom for that matter. We complained and got put in a different room. The second room was slightly better but still very grotty. The shower would only be either unbearably boiling hot or unbearably freezing cold, with no middle ground, making washing quite a difficult task. The room had drawers with cigarette ash and butts left in, despite there being no smoking signs both in the room and hallway. It seemed that the rooms dont ever get properly cleaned. From the strong smell of smoke seeping into our room at night and also along the hallways during the day it seems that many of the guests were smoking in their rooms. Including marijuana smoke at before 10am when we were checking out.Even if you're on a budget, you can find far better cheap alternatives than this. The staff were not helpful, the rooms were awful and the fellow guests all seemed as if they were permanent residents not people visiting Vienna.

Just Awful

totally will not recommend this hotel, very far from what int he hotel description, room is very dirty, no lock, when we reach the hotel they fixing the room door lock  but still they never fix properly, don't feel safe and secure, the location is quite ok can walk to the nearest train station, the toilet is very dirty looks like nver clean for long not comfortable to use,  no aircon and no electrifan inside the room, definitely will not recommend, although its quite cheap but still not worth it.
