Excellent Pension Elizabeth in stunningly beautiful Vent Otztal Tyrol Austria Stayed April 2017 before and after ski touring with an Oav AACUK ski touring group. Access via train to Otztal Hbf then bus to Vent. Ski buses to/from vent to Soelden ( approx. 20 mins) and Obergurgl / Hochgurgl is free to all skiers. All 3 resorts are excellent for all skier abilities. There are quite a few busses. Pension Elizabeth is easy to find in the small farming and tourist village of vent. Just 2 minute walk from bus. The several adjacent 1 min walk restaurants offer lovely reasonably priced evening meals. You can rent ski touring equipment from the 2 local sport shops eg Sport 2000 who also speak English. Also perhaps from the local guides office. Vent is a stunning quiet and beautiful active farming village with excellent hut to hut ski touring access, lots of interesting grassy walks, a small ski lift system, buildings, lovely old church, Alpinist priest and Alpine Association founder Franz Senn history and more explained in the Tourist Office Interpretation Centre. Perfect for families and children. Best if you can speak a little German but if not you will get by ok at the pension. Lovely quiet spacious rooms and super breakfast in friendly Pension Elizabeth run by local village family. Includes WiFi and TV. Ski storage room. Ask and you may leave some gear while away ski touring. Many room types. E-mail and ask preference. Most double bed rooms have sleeper couches which provide separable sleeping bed options.
